to Zoom Climb or NOT to Zoom Climb
To zoom climb, or not to zoom climb: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler on the air frame to suffer
The steady climb of outrageous Hurricanes,
Or to take an increase speed in level flight and then vertical go
And by opposing end the arguement. To chandelle: to climb;
No more; and by a Chandelle to say we mean spiral steadily
The radiators open and the thousand's of natural revs decrease
That 250 kph is perfect , 'tis a consummation
War Power on. To live, to climb;
To climb: per chance to Zoom Climb: ay, there's the rub;
For in that climb of death what Energy may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal gravity,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes Zoom Climbers of so long a life;
For who would bear the temperatures and scorns of spiraling
The oppressor's wrong, the proud pilots contumely,
The pangs of engine revs, the phyiscal law's delay,
The insolence of gravity and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy air intakes,
When he himself might his speed increase,
With a bare bodkin? who would catch him in level flight,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something above him climbs
The undiscover'd energy from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the VVS pilot
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to other heights that we know not of?
Thus aged thought does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of old craft,
And enterprises of great Lavochkin and Yakolev
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.--zoom climb you now!
