It looks that way. Plus Pirx conceded that he'd got it wrong.Originally Posted by [MA]Dak[GSV]
The earliest soild reference I can find in my books to an LA-7 being in service is one flown by Kozhedub, in July 1944. That was with 19 IAP, which became 176 GIAP on the 19th of August, 1944 once it had been fully re-equipped with the new type. So I guess Pirx was a month or so too early. Though I think some LA-7s were entering service in May '44 - not sure where or though. 63 GIAP were the first to be re-equipped so I guess it must have been them - anyone know where they were posted?
'Make mine a Spitfire, Landlord!'

Verdict is - No noticeable difference in performance with the NS37 selected, but a significant rise in shooting performance. Ripped the wing off a Ju88 from 500m with one shot!! Bit better than the Yak9DOh, and btw, the Yak1B I can still deal with, the cannon and turning ability of that is very good so I'm not too bothered by us having it

Yeah but flying Yaks is hard workOriginally Posted by luke313
and they dont handle
where as I never ever have to think about flying P39s, LA5s or LA7s. A pilot who doesnt have to think about flying the plane is more effective in combat
