GTA V finally Announced for PC ! [misleading title]

"Great news to all the PC Gamers (including me) ! Grand Theft Auto V was announced for PC recently, not by Rockstar but by Nvidia,world leader in visual computing technologies and manufacturers of GPUs. The PC version is said to be released by this fall.

Just a week after it revealed the existence of a Surface RT 2, Nvidia spilled the beans on an upcoming release that someone could actually care about.

In a recent earnings call Nvidia’s senior director of investor relations Chris Evenden said gamers are preparing their rigs for a few big titles coming this fall, including GTA V, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin’s Creed IV, reports say.

GTA V is scheduled to hit the console universe in mid-September, so it appears that PC gamers won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the latest installment of Rockstar’s gore filled franchise. "

NVIDIA has retracted this statement and TBH I think it was a genuine retraction as it would place the PC release basically concurrent with consoles so Rockstar would of announced it already.

i did not know much details . I saw it on source site and copy and paste it to other people who likes pc version of the GTA V . :)

I know. I was excited when I saw it too. PC usually get it a few months later. I don't think we'll get it til after the next gen consoles get a version, but on the upside porting it to the new consoles and to PC shares a great deal development wise so we can hope they'll do all 3 at once. I'm sure we'll get it eventually one way or another.

Need to get a gpu fast before GTA V hits the market.

At least wait until it's announced. No point buying a card for a game that doesn't exist yet. Better, wait until you know what cards will work well for it.

GTA 5 PC was mentioned in error, says Nvidia

PC gamers can put away the party poppers. GTA 5 may not actually be coming to PC after all.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Nvidia had let slip that GTA 5 was coming to PC this autumn, but the technology firm now says it doesn’t actually have any information on a possible PC release. Get that story right here.

“Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list,” reads a statement from Nvidia provided to VideoGamer.com.

“This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”

Though Rockstar has yet to officially announce a PC version of GTA 5, a PC port has long been rumored

Even though Rockstar says they have yet to confirm for the pc release, I think maybe it won't come to the PC. I remember the same thing happened with Red Dead Redemption. Oh yeah I don't have a console !

I wish it release a pc version for us or i will programme a emulator for this game just by myself (joke) hahaha

While I'd only want to play the PC version, I'd be apprehensive about the PC release anyway Does anyone remember the terrible port that was GTA IV when it was 1st released? I had a decent rig at the time and for me it was unplayable until months of patching sorted most of the issues.

At worst it will be Summer next year for PC release, its not uncommon for it to be 8months after the console release with the GTA franchise. At best I think it will be Feb / March for PC release. But they could surprise us all and have it out for before Christmas.

They released Max Payne 3 since and that worked fine for me with 2 GTX 570 SLI, so I would say that they learned a lesson.

I do hope it comes out as long as its not a poor console port.

Maybe since the next gen consoles are coming, console ports might not be as bad as they are.

New consoles are reported to be able to run DX11 features, so fingers crossed it will be as that would make the PC version rather special.
