    World of Warplanes Beta Anyone?

Is anyone playing in the WoWP Open Beta right now?

Wondering about tier 9 and tier 10 planes: should I bother getting a Tier 10?

Not tried this yet, not sure if I will after finding War Thunder.

From everything I've read, WT is the better game, but I would still like to try it, if I can tear myself of WT that is

Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean

Yeah, lots of the guys I play with compare the two, and I can't blame you

I keep reminding myself WoWP is not meant to be a simulator, no cockpit view...is more of a quick, pick-up-and-play, intense battles experience.

BTW, they announced its release day, WoWP it's coming out Sept 26

Yeah, I am also loving WT and haven't tried this yet. Is there anything that sets this apart from WT?

Re: World of Warplanes Beta Anyone?

what sets war thunder apart is 3 types of battles, arcade, historic battle, and real battle, like a simulator (i believe, never tried real battles)
in war thunder you can land repair and take off again, its a must in historic and real battles , cant do that in wowp
historic and real you only uses 1 plane, in arcade you can use as many as you like, it cost real money from the 5th plane
war thunder is working on adding tanks and ships to the game, as you know theres is Wot, wowp, and Wows = ships, 3 different games it comes all in one in war thunder
engine is better in war thunder, they still need to optimise wowp.

planes! you get to fly WWII fighter and bombers...

Seriously, most of the UI, tech trees, hangar, service modules, are about the same. I've been told some of the maps in WoWP were inspired by WoT maps.
XP, Gold, and the like should be the same too.

So, in short, if you like WWII planes, then you should give it a try (btw, you can use k/m too)
