    Upgrades...
My 3570k is @ 85% in bf4 constantly. I'll not be cross firing the 7970 as the CPU will choke them.
A 290x for Christmas on the other hand....or, upgrade to a 3770k as well.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Really? My 6300 is bouncing around 80ish on all cores most of the time. (64 player maps with GPU settings on High presets except AA at 2x rather than 4x) and I get perfectly playable frame rates. Now, servers that aren't lagged to all hell is a different matter (particularly that map with the carrier and 3 islands). I was actually pleasantly surprised with the performance, since its distinctly mid range hardwre.

Re: Battlefield 4 discussion and Hardware requirements speculation

I have a GTX 570 and it seems to struggle unless I put the game on low. It feels laggy and like it is stuttering badly. Is that right? It seems much harder on my PC than BF3 was.
    My blog

    I used to play BF3, Battlefield BC2, BF4 and TF2

    Do something amazing.... Give blood

What resolution are you running at? I see you are on a 27inch Monitor so are you running at 1440p? If thats the case thats going to be the issue I think. Soon as you go above 1080p the game gets very hungry, esp for vRAM which your 570 will be lacking.

After my Upgrade Issues on Saturday I haven't managed to test BF4 on my new system but will hopefully get that sorted tonight and see how Ultra/Max works out at 1440p

Seems like something is wrong unless your running at a huge resolution. I have seen it running on a mixture of high and ultra settings on a 570 @ ~60FPS.

this game is eating about 2gb of vram on my 7970 at 1080p with ultra textures, ultra texture filtering (AF), everything else on high, hbao and 2xmsaa + low post process aa. it's smacking my 2500k (@4.4ghz) around pretty hard too. the thing is running at like 90% over all most of the time during 64 player games!

I'm using 1290*1200. I was thinking it seems like something must be wrong with my PC. My i7 920 is hopefully still up to the task. Maybe I need to scan for viruses and do some general optimising.
