I haven't had any crashing or sound issues since the patch and I was getting them a lot before.

So far not enjoying China Rising as much as the base maps.....but then I am not a fan of big maps with large distances between flags. The one map that I did like was the one with 7 flags all fairly close to each other and had quite uneven terrain with a mountain pass cutting through the map.

I got China rising dlc when I preordered the game but it says I can't download it until the 19th December. I take it the new maps are for premium users only ATM?

So far so good after new patch, no crashes for me. Only had a chance to play one of the China Rising map, and it looks good. Want to test them all before any judgement.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

I had my first CTD last night on that damn Dam map, jumped of the roof at "B" flag & parachuted down & CRASH !!! I had a sound loop crash patch before falling through a bridge on Parcel... I do seem to CTD when falling ? Anyone else having CTD when falling from small hights ???

The net code is still f**ked, had a number of moments where I had them set centre of my RDS & nothing ! I did see a YouTube vid about the ADS to quickly, you have to aim first & then hit the fire button. If you do it too fast is basically a spray like from the hip but your ADS & its correct !

EA/DICE have wrecked the game!!!! Tonight I have had to hard reset 4 times!!!!!!!!!! Before the last patch I had the odd crash to desktop, but this has just taken any fun the game had.

That sounds like Guilin peaks. I'm really falling in love with that map, on conquest and rush. The rush version is brill, mainly because it's not linear, which really punishes campers. If your team isn't displacing the second the those crates go down(either side) you'll lose horrifically. Every round I've played on it has been really fast paced and fluid with loads of back and forth. Great fun.

I'm coming to love silk road also, had a round on there last night where we had a squad going with 4 igla equipped engineers and a support trolling the helis & jets. The only china rising one I find really hateful is the one with the observatory. the sheer volume of armour on that map makes it very difficult to pull back if the other team have a higher proportion of ssd users and cap all the flags straight off.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

Yeah there really aren't enough servers with a round start timer ATM. It can be game ruiningly unbalanced at times and I say that as someone with an SSD who's capped both MCOMs before the other team has even spawned more than once. Just no fun on either end.

Altai range, is choke point central, so once something held it's hard to get back. Not had many good rounds on silk road, but the teams were stacked to hell the few times I've played it. Dragons pass I really like too, which thinking about it, might be what Shiathis was talking about.

Finally got the L85 unlocked yesterday. New favourite gun. Thought it would be much weaker than the ace at mid range just going from the battlelog stats(which don't mean much but symthic hasn't updated yet), but it's a beast all round. Well worth doing the stupid assignment for it.

i installed and ran 2.1.4_112 of the browser plugin, and now the browser launching is completely borked - just bringing up the 'browser plugin needed' every time. (IE or Opera) Any ideas?

it's done that to me everytime there's been an update. i use firefox btw. usually i have to install the plugin twice and restart the browser. i have ff set to clear the cache everytime i close the browser, so maybe that helps too..

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

When I look at my battlelog it shows I have the China Rising pack, but when I go to chine rising server a box appears saying 'requires additional expansion pack'. I then has option to retry or open in origin. Now i'm confused as this is only available to premium members. My question is why is it telling me this? I can't play the maps atm and I know I have the pack.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

Think I am in the same situation. I assumed that some people purchased the premium version, and others (like you and me) just have standard with the China Rising add on. Think the premium owners get China Rising for 2 weeks before the rest of us get it.
