We’ve rolled out a new PC game update and will continue to make improvements based on your feedback. The update includes fixes with the aim to increase the general stability of the game, and eliminates bugs that you may have experienced. It also includes an improvement to the so called “Netcode”.

Dec 16 PC Game Update Notes
-Fix for a crash that would cause the game to stall, resulting in a sound loop. This should eliminate most of the problems relating to this.
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents.
-Fixed one of the issues related to the so called “Netcode” (see below for details)
-Fix for player tags not always showing when needed to, resulting in players shooting team members.
-Fix for graphical flickering appearing on terrain.
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer run out. -Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.
-Made the NVidia 331.82 driver version mandatory for all players.
-Disabled DirectX 11.1 on NVidia cards that have outdated drivers.
-Fixed driver version not being properly detected on NVidia Optimus systems.
-Fixed a minor crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.
-Fix for the issue where the game would get stuck in loading screen when players tried to join a Second Assault map without actually owning Second Assault.

    “Netcode” improvement
We’ve addressed the so called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

Just getting the patch now. I was going to try the game out again after the last patch. But China Rising isn't available everytime I try and join a server. You guys know when it's available in the UK for non premium people? I tried searching it and saw all I saw were estimates. When I go on the Battlefield site, it doesn't actually seem to state a release date for it. Wtf..

Dec 16 PC Game Update Notes
-Fix for a crash that would cause the game to stall, resulting in a sound loop. This should eliminate most of the problems relating to this. About time but I'll hold judgement until I've see it for my self
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents. I've not been affected by this but I've seen the YT footage & I can see why its been fixed
-Fixed one of the issues related to the so called “Netcode” (see below for details)
-Fix for player tags not always showing when needed to, resulting in players shooting team members.
-Fix for graphical flickering appearing on terrain. I had but it want that bad, a fix is always welcome
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer run out.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed. Only happend once thankfully, had to leave server meaning I lost all may 2XP
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression. They could of left this one !!! Loved it when I was sencond in the table & came MVP after the Ribbons were counted up
-Made the NVidia 331.82 driver version mandatory for all players. This could annoy people who dont like to update there drivers ???
-Disabled DirectX 11.1 on NVidia cards that have outdated drivers.
-Fixed driver version not being properly detected on NVidia Optimus systems.
-Fixed a minor crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.
-Fix for the issue where the game would get stuck in loading screen when players tried to join a Second Assault map without actually owning Second Assault.

The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server. This is the main one for me ! It was stupid that this could happen, it did in BF3 but was legit, this issue in BF4 was killing the game for me... I hope this has made the netcode better as I heard they had a cap of 500ms in the code ? That whats making the game unplayable sometimes, its been decreased then it can only make it better for everyone ???

Will be worse for people with poor connections (as it should be IMO, I hate being crippled because someone else has a shoddy connection or computer!)

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

They have acknowledged the SLI/Xfire bug

    http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4...4770534426141/

UPDATE: We have noticed that players who have SLI enabled on their graphics card may experience graphical flickering. Also, we're looking into the issue where the revive bar would get stuck on-screen in some instances. Both of these have our attention, and we're investigating them.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

The Kill trading is not 100% fixed ether ! I had it happen twice to me last night where we both died & it showed the other player was left with 4HP ??? I got the kill i guess but what did his screen show my health point's were ???
I also spent most of the match with a Revive bar on my screen

Does make me think WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING ! How could the patch go out with the issues like SLI/Xfire flickering ?

    Dice/EA fail again...
