Ok. I have just had a look and I have to say I am really impressed. It would have been great to get the full name in, but to tell the truth I think I prefer the minimalist approach, a simple, X in Orange with a blue surround is perfect, IMHO.

The group is growing too, we now have six members, which is also cool.

Anyway, before we get too far in an off topic subject, the Hexus BF4 platoon now officially has 3 members. All Hexus members are welcome to join and I have sent you a friend request herulach.

I've add a really not particularly good Platoon emblem, all I can say for it is that it has the Hexus colours, it would be great if someone with the time and skill could do something better for us.
Sorry, thought you were talking about the bf4 campaign, from what I've seen on lets play (i've vowed never to buy anything from ubi at release again) it looks pretty awesome.

The logo looks great, friended all other members.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

We had another really good session last night, Biscuit, erudito87, MaddAussie and I were all online, though I only got there in time to play two rounds, the first was fun but was plagued a little by squads of snipers, which made playing quite frustrating but because the snipers were out for kills we managed to win the game by playing the objectives and some teamwork.

The second game was a lot more fun, we lost the game but had a lot of fun with Biscuit in a helicopter and me doing constant repairs to help keep it in the air. I think the teamwork showed here too, Biscuit stole a helicopter from the enemy when they jumped out and spawned in as an engineer, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that we must have kept that helicopter in flight for at least 25 minutes in a round that lasted 53 minutes.

I think going forward, mortars would be a good solution to snipers and I need to start working on my recon skills.

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

I had some spare time this evening and decided to work on my Recon class, none of the guys were online so I decided to play a bit of Team DM and surprisingly, using the AK5C, I managed to get 32 kills, not so surprising was the 40 deaths lol.

I have unlocked the motion sensor though and only need about 6000 points to unlock DMRs. Does anyone know which map I have to play in order to be able to pick up a MAV so I can get some serious spotting done? I need 1 more spotting ribbon to unlock the Target Detector on the AK 5C.

MAV is a kit gadget. Spotting ribbon should be pretty easy on any map though, just spam q at whatever you're shooting at. locker is a good choice.

oh, I was hoping that I'd be able to find it as a weapon pick up in a level somewhere. I have been spamming the spot button for a few days now but somehow I've not managed to get the ribbon. I guess I just need to persevere.

Or if you have a TUGS, just go on a big 64man Metro or Operation Locker...

Pop one down, sit back and watch the spotting score come in.

I don't have that yet, I have 5 unlocks to get to that, I've only just got my motion sensors. Hopefully I would have completed the assignment before I unlock the TUGS, but at least now I know what it is and what it does as I looked it up after reading your suggestion.

Just looked at your battlelog, suppressed AK5 with a 4* scope probably isn't doing you much good by the time that gets out to a range where 4* is useful you're doing 14 damage. If you want to run at range grab the 240B/MG4 and have at it. If you're running carbines you want an RDS and to be hipfiring a lot. I forced myself to use the PDWs with irons to break my ADS every single time habit. MP7 or AS-Val are both good for that.

How cheap is BF4 for the PC? I'm seriously contemplating on picking this up as I have it for the PS4. And none of my mates play it.

I see I can pick it up for £10 from CD Keys, what DLC do you guys tend to play?

All of them pretty much. Best option is to get the premium edition for £40 that includes all of the DLC aswell

Or if you use the current Greenmangaming discount code (53NSRB-GTOJQD-8WN7GJ) you can save 20%, but I would strongly recommend getting Premium as you will find it harder to join people if you don't have access to all of the maps.
