Should be on tomorrow, once new computer is built (although I think with a new motherboard you have to re install windows?).

To give an idea as to what type of rifles I like, I like full auto/3 round burst with little recoil (I've got a very precise aim; accuracy on XBOX with a controller was often above 35%) and mediocre power (not too much of an issue since I'm better at getting more less powerful shots on target).

I have premium on XB1 and will probably buy it on PC if I can get to grips with PC gaming on KB+Mouse, since I find MX Blues very stiff for gaming and don't like them at all.
Carbine wise the A91 is pretty beastly. I don't use sniper rifles simply because I suck with them, if I'm on a more open map I can more reliably down people with the RFB and a PK-A than a bolt action.

You need to play everything to its strengths though - you can work round some guns short comingsbut carbines in particularly are designed to be compromised guns. Anyone with a PDW will wreck you at close range and assault rifles will out damage you at long, and LMGs will wreck anyone at any range

    Re: Battlefield 4 discussion..

I agree that pretty much, if not, all of the guns are legit. For example, even after unlocking all of the support class guns, I always go back to the starting gun. I find I usually do best with it. I think there are a few guns for each class that I find a bit crap, but that's probably just because of my play style. If you're very accurate with good recoil control, then you'll benefit from one of the slow firing/heavy hitting guns. What I did to make myself get that control, was to use a bolt action sniper rifle with a short range scope on it, and play aggreisvely. I really had to make every shot count. It definitely made me get better

Well, after computer building today, guess I'll be trying out BF4 on PC (and I'll be able to compare and contrast it with the console version)

I think the PS4 version is pretty much the PC version on high settings. Though the draw distance is maybe a bit less. And the FOV is slightly too narrow for my liking. It runs at or close to 60fps for the most part as well. Quite impressed with what they got out of the consoles, especially when I look at other console games I've got that are struggling to run at 30fps. Dragon Age Origins for example, I just can't see how that is anywhere near as demanding as a 64 player BF4 game. Yet it's limping trying to keep up a pace of 30fps. Pathetic console games eh... Anyway - PC version - STILL MUCH BETTER! As always

Regards to the 270x, SCAN don't have it in stock. I might throw in couple quid more and go for this card

I can't see the spec that would tell me the dimensions of the card or if my PSU is capable of it.

During the summer i managed to get an msi aftermarket r9 280x on ebay for around 120. It might be worth looking for cards there.

I can't play Destiny on xb1, the game feels like it's running at 20fps constantly. BF4 is better though, just looks rubbish.

I've fired a few shots with one after killing a dude that had one and trying his out, I don't think I managed to hit anything though and didn't live long enough to be able to pass any judgement on it.

    HALLE-BLOODY-LUJAH

Computers upgraded. Got the AMD Radeon R9 270X for the same price as the Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X OC 2GB GDDR5. Got the memory sorted, new case and keyboard (Corsair Raptor K40)

Need to download all the expansions for BF4 before I can play, had a quick shot on Test Range (All maxed out on Video settings, no judder like the last, need to see how it'll cope online.)
