I don't think there are any new maps in the Spring patch - the community map & night maps aren't ready yet, apparently. I've just downloaded the patch so I'm off to try out the new guns!

Looks like it's all weapon based stuff from that link! I might have a go on it some day this week. I'm more interested in the new maps, though

I'm not all that impressed with the new weapons. The Groza 4 is okay, but the L86A2 is a bit rubbish. I don't know why you'd choose it over other LMGs when it's only got a 30 round mag. The AN94 isn't great either, it's got quite a slow fire rate.

Yeah looks like you are right.

Still no sign of any of the old BF maps coming back into the game which is a bit of a ball-bag.

lol - AFAIC, there are no "optimisations" to the netcode. The reason it's poor is a purely monetary decision to keep the game server hosts happy. The tick rate is just way too low. After a year of whining they did up it a bit but it was no-where near enough. Upping it would stop the "exclusive" game hosts cramming as many servers in as they currently do and would cost them more in hardware and bandwidth....and of course we need those exclusive hosts because EA just didn't monetise the game enough already (yes, that was extreme sarcasm)

They are testing 60Hz & 120Hz servers inthe CTE apparently, so it's possible they might eventually be released...

Oh, that is good news. It might be ready for the second anniversary of the game and maybe before the second successor releases....

Meanwhile I will live with my minimum 5-10 kill-trades per map
