EA Support Actually Solved a problem for me!

For ages now, I've been having loads of connection issues with Battlefield 1 - terrible pings, loads of packet-loss, and generally a pretty horrible gaming experience. Just out of curiosity, I thought I'd give BF4 a go, and low and behold, it played perfectly - low pings, no packet-loss, and buttery smooth game-play. So I thought I'd see if EA support could shed some light on the issue, not really holding out much hope that they'd be much help. It did take a LONG time using the online chat facility, but after uploading various diagnostic files, they came to the conclusion that Asus' 'AI Suite' was probably to blame. I must admit, the version of AI Suite I had installed must have been about three years old, maybe more. But having uninstalled the damn utility, my BF1 game play was absolutely perfect! I know some game support services get a lot of flak for their lacklustre help, but in this case, they actually came up trumps

That explains some stuff. I thought windows 10 improved my ping and weirder wifi issues in games but I guess it was the fact that the asus ai suite for my mobo wasn't updated to support windows 10 so I had to get rid of it.

Sounds like you may have had a similar problem. I wished I'd found out the source of my problems sooner - BF1 is actually a lot easier to play with a decent connection!

I may have found one of the few benefits of having an outdated system lol

I've never had a problem with their support. Both times they just refunded me the purchase, gave me the stuff I was trying to buy as well, and flung me a 10% off voucher.

Then again, the amount they make off things like Loot Crates, they can probably afford it!
