Re: Steam Autumn Sale 2013 has started!

    Useful Rules for Steam Sales.

Rule #1: Do not buy games unless they are a Daily Deal, Flash Sale, or Community Choice as they may go cheaper. Steam has 2 sale prices for every title – the duration sale discount and the promotion sale discount.

Rule #2: If a game has not been a Daily Deal, Flash Sale, or Community Choice buy it on the last day of the Steam Sale.

Rule #3: Buy the game as a gift in case you decide against it and want to sell/trade it.

Rule #4: Use your wishlist to track games you really want. When they go on sale Steam will email you about the discounts.

Rule #5: On the LAST DAY of the sale, Steam often makes its daily deals an encore of the most popular daily deals from the previous days. Go nuts. Buy everything you wanted.

Anything else you miss, it won't be long until the December steam sale ^_^

CS:GO for £3. Very tempting, can't see it going any lower than that.

Re: Steam Autumn Sale 2013 has started!

AND just in case you didn't see the game you wanted go on sale, REMEMBER! there's always that Christmas sale

SO DON'T BUY BECAUSE YOU'RE DESPERATE! Be a smart buyer

Some games change discounts more than 2 times. I saw Sleeping Dogs go from 50% to 90% to 80% so it's a little bit of timing the sale...if you can predict it anyway haha

I myself, am waiting for The Witcher, The Witcher 2, and Fallout: NV Ultimate Edition to hit 75%

Re: Steam Autumn Sale 2013 has started!

Yeah just saw it. Sadly I bought a couple of things and I'm kinda low on budget. It's just enough to buy a $5.00 game, I've played The Witcher 2 before so I'm kind of just leaning towards getting that Fallout: New Vegas

I picked up Bioshock Infinite for a fiver from Green Man Gaming (I think it was). Anyone thinking about getting it, should. Quite stunning.

I'd get that if I were you. It's one of the best FPS games I've tried. If you enjoyed Half-Life 2, I'm sure you'll like Metro: Last Light. It's a good benchmark too.

Hmm...I'm terrible for buying games & not getting around to finishing them...Metro: 2033 being one of them!
