Yeah It took me a while of messing around with text positioning before I thought of mirroring the V to make an A and hence the cartonnish plane .

Jenk: Yeah I noticed the yellow doesnt seem to come out as well in the jpgs as it does in Photoshop. I can try and fix that this evening.

actually... i'm just applying a technique I picked up from a video about the Tempest.

There's a bit in it that's like a training video for ground staff - "how to recognise a Tempest" all it tells you to look for is the nose, the tail, the wing profile and how many engines it's got

Following Jenk's suggestion I messed a bit with the colours and antialiasing of the text.

So hopefully this looks a bit better.
