    Elder scrolls online preorder.

So elderscrolls online is now available for preorder.

Price is a bit steep by pc standards 69.99 I think for the dugital emperor (deluxe) edition. And monthly cost will be 8.99 per month.

Whos gonna preorder? In too minds myself. Want to try it but its a bit expensive.

I've pre-ordered the standard edition with a 20% off voucher so paid £40. Still expensive with the money off.

With the money off I think I would have went with the deluxe edition, the physical deluxe edition has a really nice looking lore/art book with it but I know it would just sit and probably not be read if I got it. That's what I liked about Rift with their collectors edition, there were some good ingame items and with the physical edition (which oddly was the same price) you got a 8gb usb stick so something which would be useful.

I am testing the beta at the moment and it is good but I don't think it's worth all that. I would have expect it to be free to download with just a monthly subscription. My big issue is that I just will not get to play it very often.

Thought it was rather 'meh', nothing special about the game but the cinematic was great on youtube... lol

Hmm I didn't think the preorder would cost so much, that with the subscription fee and rumoured cash shop I do wonder about the life of this game, I might come play it if it eventually does turn free to play like starwars knights of the old republic

    Re: Elder scrolls online preorder.

For that kind of money I could get a dozen quality games during a Steam sale, so I'm not touching this game at all, despite loving the Elder Scrolls SP games. Then again, I'm not really into MMO's in the first place, since I can't see how spending a monthly fee is getting value for money when MMO game content is often even more boring and repetitive than normal games. Think about something like Guild Wars series, that is a far better prospect as it has no monthly fee and has the same kind of fantasy play style. I wish they had gone that route.... or just made a co-op game instead :/

    Re: Elder scrolls online preorder.

I've been tempted to shell out the £89.99 for the collectors edition, but realised that I just won't get the same kind of playtime out of it as I would Skyrim. If the game was subscription free, or the pre-orders game with a similar credit for playtime it might be worthwhile but I've been burnt too many times by MMO launches which put out half-finished products to make it worthwhile.

Like many posters, I've seen the game in action and it's just too raw and unfinished to get excited about. I'm annoyed because I wanted a new game to occupy my time and this one just isn't it.
