    Re: Titanfall discussion

    Personally I'm really enjoying it.

If you bought it as a single player blockbuster experience, you'll be sorely disappointed - and should have probably done some research before laying down the cash.

As a relatively mindless multiplayer romp that has the precise action of COD-engined games, but with a more varied gameplay and some incredibly well designed maps - it's spot on.

I'm committing heresy every time I play, as I play with a 360 pad, but do I care these days? Not really. I've spent years playing with mouse and keyboard and now that I consider myself a totally casual player I honestly don't care so much for the twitch-shooting of mouse and keyboard combo, and actually I'm doing rather well with a 360 pad! Hah.

Add my Hexus name on Origin if you fancy a blast.

Burn the Heretic and Traitor to the PC Race!

Talking of burning, this game is getting a lot of positive heat so I may have to pick a copy up soon...

    Re: Titanfall discussion

Friend of mine was playing TF on a 360 pad using his HTPC the other day... to the point where he was about to hurl it across the room in a rage.

I had to point out that his gaming PC, the one that holds a top 10 overclocking score and has a 1440p monitor, complete with KB&M was less than 6 feet away from him!!

I installed my new graphics card the other day and TF was useful for seeing how slightly prettier everything was with all settings maxed out, though most of the real awe was over how smoothly and effortlessly the game was.

Other than that, same old slaughter-fest for the high Grade players, who always seem to end up on the enemy team for some stupid reason....

Got bored, went and played a bit of Thief instead!

This was my experience too. New and none regular players are severely at a disadvantaged in this game for some storage reason. I always end up on a team of morons and I always seem to be outgunned.

    Re: Titanfall discussion

I enjoyed the beta, but given my reactions I'm only really interested in playing against mates with similar reactions. And I'm certainly not spending the bargain price of £60 for the game and DLC that they're punting it at on Origin at the moment.

And on that note: is nobody else gobsmacked at the idea that you buy a game and then there's another 100% on top for the extra bits 2 weeks after launch? I appreciate that I'm in the minority here, but screw "season pass", and any game that has them.

You can get the game key for about 20 on ebay

While that may be true, I'm still not likely to pick it up in it's current form as I'd need to drop another £20 (based on price at GMG, not seen it cheaper anywhere else) on the season pass which contains nonspecific multiplayer content upgrades. I might buy it as a full game at 20-25 quid, but this whole "we'll only release 80% of the game at release, then dripfeed (and charge for) the other 20% does nothing but burn any goodwill I had for publishers.

The whole Season Pass thing can burn, as far as I'm concerned.

    Re: Titanfall discussion

I am getting a bit bored of it now. The titans need a much bigger array of weapons. Also, need to enable bigger games. More players please, e.g. 24 players etc.
