    Robocraft

    Anyone playing it?
    http://robocraftgame.com/

From the looks of it, imagine a cross between between world of tanks and Space Engineers
you construct a vehicle out of blocks and components, then fight in team death match / capture the base arenas for point to buy more blocks or unlock more advanced stuff.

Free to play, like WoT you can buy premium time or decals

    Looks fun.

    Re: Robocraft

Well I've played for a bit.

It's fun, although survival is very important, you seem to get a lot more points even if your team loses if you can survive.
And even then unless you damage and kill at least two enemies the bonus you get from "bravery" is a lot more, I came out of one game with 110 points of which 9 were from damage and the rest "bravery" bonus

    there's 3 types of guns
1 turret lasers, these have a 360 degree left/right and 90 degree up cone of fire
2 mounted lasers have a 180 degree left right and up down cone of fire, slightly cheaper slightly longer range (almost nothing at level 1-2) and a bit less damage than turret lasers.
3 is plasma turrets, these are an odd one, they have an arcing path of fire and slightly slower bullet speed, damage is odd because it's low but AoE so can wreck if you can hit, they also have a slow reload, they also fire in groups, were as lasers fire in a chain auto fire if you hold down the button or groups of two if you tap the fire button.
So you can use plasma as indirect fire weapons, although the arc is shallow, the range is very very long, if some one gets close with lasers they chew you up
btw you cannot mix plasma and lasers on one vehicle, you can mix the laser turrets and fixed mounted lasers, but you cannot put ether on a vehicle with a plasma.

No rebindable keys, no strafe for hover vehicles, very limited graphics presets and no AA
graphics options do bug me because at highest there's a lot of depth of field and bloom, so ever thing at distance is blurry, turn down the options to reduce it and you also lose AF and lighting quality.

    Re: Robocraft

Making robots is a craft which will appeal to children of all ages and doesn't have to cost you anything. It will probably require some forward planning as to make the robot you will need to collect toilet rolls, cereal packets, tin foil and any other materials you can possibly think of that would make a good robot.
