I got into the beta for Battlefield Hardline but not tried it yet. Has anyone else?

I know it is supposedly about a "cops vs robbers" type of thing, but I have not tried it because I am waiting for a couple of hard drives to arrive so I will have enough space to make some videos of my first ever experience on it. But I am curious if anyone else has tried it and what their thoughts are of it in terms of game play and over all feel of the game. I am a big BF4 fan so if you also can compare it to BF4 (especially since both games are created by different companies DICE/Visceral or something) that would be a great thing to know.

I got into the beta on the ps4 and origin(im also in the beta for destiny and that feels EPIC). The first thing i noticed was how everything looked so bf3 inn terms of styling. Hit detection is sooo much better than bf4 so i wouldn't be surprised if they are using bf3 resources lol. Needless to say I'm having fun.

Noticeably better than BF4? What is the actual game play like though in comparison? I heard it is some cops arrest the criminals and the criminals shoot cops. Is that right? Sounds a bit "eh"

It's like BF4 in fancy dress but play's like BF3 :) Certainly a step up from the BF4 beta .

I like it but for me i found it a bit confusing (my age i think)... I wont buy it at the full retail price even if they did polish up more so i'll wait for a deal like i did with 4.

I also get the feeling like it should have a GTA size type map because you soon find the area you play in a bit small.. more streets to chase in for me :)

This is why there are no modding tools.

Very expensive map pack built on a broken game. The one and only thing I like about it are the smaller map sizes.

If anybody else wants in on the beta, start a live/web-chat session with one of their advisers, tell them you're thinking of pre-ordering hardline but were wondering if they had any demos, and they'll add the beta to your account. It's a lot easier than signing up for the beta and waiting :)

Yeah its essentially what it would look like if bf3 and payday 2 had a baby. Cops have access to motorcycles helis armored trucks and cars while the robbers have sedans and helis. The classes are just like battlefield but the naming scheme is different. I've only played it very briefly but everyone shoots at each ther and i haven't seen any arrests lol. You get xp and money(buying weapons etc). There's some interesting stuff like grappling hooks and ziplines that can be found or bought as a class item thing. The gameplay to me feels like payday 2 but with battlefields weapon skins etc. I am enjoying it and will most likely pick it up. Is hardlines supposed to replace the battlefield series?

No, not at all. It's probably going to be one of 3 BF franchises and each year they will rehash a version......Just like CoD have been doing for a while.

This means BF is another game not to buy any more. Punt it out ASAP on the lead-up to Xmas, regardless of what kind of state it's in.

Can't really talk about the gameplay as I didn't play it for very long, but the fact you have to install a plugin and use the browser for matchmaking is a bit annoying.

Wait... Match making? Don't they run servers? If that is peer to peer I guarantee I will never buy it.

It's Ok but I don't think I'll be buying it. Should be a BF4 add on like they did with BF3 Vietnam, not a whole new game.

Because it seems they want a yearly instalment. 2 franchises rolling will probably end up too tight a schedule, they will need 3 projects to give each team time.

So guesswork but educated guesswork ;)

Was not impressed with this at all. It's the quality of a mod and it costs money.
