Since I've settled on a Python for my everyday ship this was an insta-purchase. Yeah it's a luxury, but for a game I play most nights what's £3....less than the cost of a pint!

Cobras were always a bit tank like, I used to avoid them if possible in conflict zones as they always took ages to grind down for little reward.

They never used to worry me in the slightest...

I feel so dirty, paying real money for skins in a computer game. Especially one that isn't third-person!

I buy the sets, with several colours in.
I also got the Braben Bobblehead and some weapon colours.

If you want to enjoy how pretty your ship is, you can switch to the external camera for beauty shots... which makes sense to me as I stop really caring what colour my ship is the moment I come under fire!

Oh the Cobra never worried me, I just always thought that the fight went on a long time. That was fine with an Anaconda where there is some risk of it going wrong and a big payout if it went right, but taking ages to grind down the shield for a tiny payout, I always thought the Cobra was worth avoiding if there was anything around that would be more fun to tussle with.

I'd still be in mine if it wasn't for a lack of a fighter bay. Currently flipping between an Anaconda and a Cobra.

I just check the bounty on the scanner. Depending on mood I won't usually bother with anything worth less than about 30k, but you do get some Cobras with quite impressive payouts.

It's a good one for that yeah, especially in VR. It's not a perfect game by any stretch, but the sights are incredible, the combat can be good fun and the audio is up there as being an example in how good games these days can sound.

If you do get it, watch some tutorials and whatnot first before diving in. The learning curve is pretty steep!

I thought Frontier said something a while back about there being one final surprise upgrade/add-on to the Horizons season which would be rolled out at Christmas - Everything seemed to point toward Commander customisations and something else.

Is that still on the cards, does anyone know?

I think they've confirmed the Horizons season is continuing into this year, it's not over yet.

There's 2.3 and 2.4 before Horizons completes I believe.

Holy hell, 45 minutes ago first contact happened. Interdiction from hyperspace, ship disabled and scanned before the alien vessel jumped out. Winter has come!

edit: OK don't like whatever they've done to the servers, my client crashes every jump now :/
