That's how I'm playing, no issues for me, works fine.
I tried the training missions on keyboard, and was really struggling. Dug an old USB gamepad out of the cupboard and that was far easier.
Have asked for a joystick for Christmas though
I personally find this much easier with a stick. I use a FLY-5 with a few of the buttons, but several non-immediate commands (landing gear, lights, cargo hatch, etc) are mapped to the right side of the keyboard.Originally Posted by s_kinton
The game even came with a full control profile for my stick, which was nice to see.
However, I cannot fly for toffee using a stick in Star Citizen and greatly prefer M&KB. Weird...

I've finally picked up elite. My username is the same as on here, feel free to add me. If anyone feels the overwhelming urge to give me an anaconda as a christmas gift I wouldn't say no lol

While the desire to be able to bestow gifts of Anacondas and weapons is high, unfortunately the means are disproportionately low.
I can give you an anaconda, no problem - This is Elite: Dangerous, after all. I am OK to leave it on your scarf rack for you, yeah?
An actual Anaconda, however... well, for starters, where would you put it?
lol oh well you can't blame me for asking. If you have actual anacondas you can keep them. Ever since that scene in indiana jones they've scared the **** out of me lol
