Wow this game is REALLY tricky!

I am playing in Solo, and have restarted 4 times already, and crashed many more times. The worst one was trying to apprach the docking bay of a rotating "ringed" station. I ended up being hit by a rotating ring support and it dragged me with it for 10 minutes while I tried to get off it.

Otherwise, the mappings have worked brilliantly thanks!

I do think this is going to be a trial and error game, especially with trying to get to distant planets / stations. If I don't overshoot I simply lose it lol

For supercruise, you can be at full throttle until the ETA goes down to 0:07 or 0:06, and then throttle back keeping the ETA at that. At about 10Mn, you start to throttle up as you'll be under the speed limit to exit.

I'm in the same boat, want to rank up with the Empire so I can get a Courier when it's released. I'm currently Allied with the Empire, but not had any missions appear. No idea. :S

What I decided to do is to fly into empire space(I flew to beta sculptoris) and i just did missions with empire aligned groups until naval ascension missions popped up, which are usually to source personal weapons etc. Just use the elite trading tool to find whatever it is you need to haul. I'm currently a serf(second rank). Its not much effort tbh.

If you've played Eve, the reputation works in a similar manner, except you don't have the Stroyline missions (I haven't played Eve for a few years, so no idea if it is still like that).

@Lowe Lol I challenge you to take one out with fixed weapons and a sidewinder.

@Abaxas I think they auto fire the second you lock on.

You don't - they auto engage hostile targets. (Red on radar).

Sidewinder might be stretching it a little, but c'mon the Vulture already has enough agility to keep the nose on target on virtually any other ship. Gimbal on top of that, Christ you might as well just have an auto pilot and do nothing!

Just found an unexplored sector with 90 objects.
