Well that is just a good start.

Now come back and tell us what you don't like after a bit of a think, and I expect people will start suggesting alternatives. You do broadly get what you pay for, but there are some bargains out there that can be dug up.

This shouldn't really be in the video games section btw. There is a "review my build" section, I expect a mod will move the thread at some point.

It is all about balance for the money.

Intel is more expensive for that speed, so it takes away money from the graphics card budget. If you can spend enough money, they Intel is the way to go. For the sort of money you ware talking earlier, I would choose AMD.

Sorry but I don't understand what you are saying here at all.

You gave a budget earlier of £250, I put together a list that was £251 which was the fastest games playing system I could specify in a short time of looking. I didn't include a 260X because that went over budget, I put a 260 factory overclock card in there. You say you need to build 2 machines, so is that £500 total?

Please say what is wrong with this list, and we can help. If you say you are happy with the list, people might find cheaper prices. If people reading this are confused, they will normally just skip to the next thread and not say anything.

    Re: building pc

Think your better holding off and getting the newest FX processors, going by their previous processors their prices will start dropping like a stone!
