It was a wonderfully produced documentary. The way the whole thing was interpersed with the machine inscribing his tombstone was very clever.

It was good to see all the footage of Malta. I can never see those bombs falling without thinking, - Christ, my Mum's there somewhere!

My Gran would have loved it - I remember her talking about that dance troop 'The Whizz Bangs'. She knew all the gossip too, so it would have been nice to have heard what she had to say about Warby.

That crash landing in the Maryland was something! Amazing he managed it down at all considering how shot up the tail assembly was.

I got text from Dakky....me and Rias watched it. Saw his wife wish him well at his fuenral eventually.

It really was just a job.....to these blokes...and yet it is the stuff of hero's.

The old boy to promised not to shed a tear...couldn't even say it.

That was it...me and Rias...blubbing on the sofa.

S! Adrian....to come home in such shot up planes is remarkable. It is very possible that you made one of the biggest contributions of WW2.

But to be a loner is a skill and a half. And then some. Great docu.

Scarily the Coputer Graphics were pretty good. I dont much like it when they made a modern day actor look like original footage, but I guess you need some of it. But the CGI of the approach to the fleet was really good.
