    Am I the only one?

...who uses WSQE instead of WSAD?

I just find it more comfortable and easier to reach the number keys. I've been using it for many years now and I just can't use WSAD any more. Can't actually remember why I originally changed.

Gets annoying having to redefine the keys on. Every. Single. Game, tho!
I'm not insane. My mother had me tested.

Re: Am I the only one?

Up until a few year ago I used the Unreal Tournament keyboard controls, arrow keys and setting the jump to right ctrl and duck to num 0 and all other ingame keys were ones surrounding arrow keys!

Started using WSAD when I built this PC a few years ago as I got sick of redefining keys on games like Swat 3&4 that has loads of commands to issue from the keyboard, made redefining a bit on the difficult side. Most games now though I use a pad as my hands hurt when using keyboard and mouse for prolonged periods

Re: Am I the only one?

I've never heard of anyone ever using WSEQ. That'd be weird to me as I've used WSAD, many moons ago I used the arrow keys but quickly went to WSAD

Like Ferral, I found it easier to adapt to the common conventional settings, WASD instead of sticking to my preferred option (I can't even remember what I used before WASD now!) as I wanted to be able to jump straight into a game with no major control issues to work out. But if you're happy to remap controls every time you start to play a new game then use whatever works best for you.

Re: Am I the only one?

As a strategy gamer, WASD to move the camera, Q and E to rotate it. The issue I had is that when I went back to play some older strategy games, it forces you to use the arrow keys or the num pad for camera controls.

WASD for me, never knew anyone used WSQE.

Re: Am I the only one?

Just tried WSQE and moving backwards/down feels a little odd as you are pretty much pressing "s" with your fingernail. Moving forwards/up is much more comfortable though.

How about "QWSD", feels quite natural

Only moving whatever was on Q and E to A and D, although my CS:S setup is quite weird in that I use space as duck and mouse wheel down as jump. I am quite happy using space as jump in other games tho
I'm not insane. My mother had me tested.

I used it when gaming on my 10" Netbook, but my choice of keyboard lends itself better to WASD, so I relearned.

This is why I use WASD as well.
I play a lot of total war, so I need to use Q/E to rotate the camera. A/D would be too hard
