I've gone back to playing Diablo for a bit before WoD comes out. 1 week to go!

Its good they have reset health/mana to more realistic figures rather than the crazy stats players were getting to.

Anyone else 100 yet? Me and Bagnaj hit max level , done a few dungeons and are getting our ilvl up for heroics. Got a few nice items, like the first ring on the epic quest, once we can get into heroics, we should have the next level in a couple of days (damn them Apexis Crystals).

So far, loving the difficulty or normals and looking forward to a challenge in heroics again, something I have missed since TBC. Hopefully we won't overpower them too quickly.

Got my Garrison to level 3 yesterday too, still not 100% sure about it, will keep levelling stuff inside it then see what happens.

No mate, I wasn't in a rush to get to 100, wanted to take my time and enjoy the game.

Would have been better if it wasn't for the lag and the phasing problems on garrisons.

Looking forward to being able to log in.

Was bad enough yesterday having to queue to get into the realm, but queue to get into battle.net?? Well that is a new one.

Agreed its quite silly and to be fair I think Blizzard should be giving a weeks free time or something. Even now queues of over 3000 and yesterday it was a 6 hour wait. Not really acceptable for a multi-billion pound company.

You don't need the Apexis Crystals to upgrade the ring, just do the other legendary quests and you'll get the 680 version. For now you're free to spend the crystals on gear from the vendors in Stormshield.

Enjoying the garrison, even though it's a disguised Facebook game. I'm just waiting for followers and garrison resource bundles to appear in the Blizz store!

Re: WoW: WoD - New Expansion

Yes, I was told that about 10:30pm last night by Trek, moments before I was going to go to bed... GRR!

However, that means that one heroic run tonight (Grimrail Depot I think) and I'll have a 680 ring, and hopefully enough Apexis Crystals for another piece of gear (already have 4000, plus have another daily to do)!

BTW, do we have somewhere offline to chat and share tips (like this), as that will save a lot of people a lot of time. Maybe set up a Google group or something, no costs required?

Re: WoW: WoD - New Expansion

Is it just me, or do the new characters look sad?

When I log in, it would be nice if my toon didn't look hacked off to see me. The pandas look pretty neutral, others seem to look either angry or grumpy.

Perhaps we need a shop like the barbers where they can go and cheer up.

Re: WoW: WoD - New Expansion

Well, that launch was a bit of a f**k up, wasn't it!

Couldn't get anywhere immediately after the launch at 23:00, so I logged out and went to bed. Next day, logged in, spent 2 hours doing the first four quests (damn flags and NPCs being camped) and then got stuck at the garrison like everyone else. Two days later and the lag and garrison problem now appears to have been fixed, but now I have to queue for between 5 and 6 hours to actually log on (Draenor-EU realm). Level 96 (Holy Priest, leveling as Shadow) at the moment, and enjoying the questing, but Blizzard really need to do something about the ridiculous queue times.

Seems the Apexis Crystal quest was meant to be a requirement for the 680 ring, there's talk of potentially removing the ring or reverting it to the 640 version for those who have the ring but haven't yet handed in the Apexis Crystals.

As for the launch, thankfully DMF is a low pop server and it's been relatively stable throughout (server lag at times, and garrison server downtime aside). There have been a few issues but it sounds like we've been relatively unscathed. I had a 20 min login queue once when they lowered the realm population caps, and that's it!

Had a few long queues in the first couple of days but my server isn't too bad now, my sons however has queues still of over 1500!
