It's an XCOM game. I'm guessing either Enemy Unknown or Enemy Within. Can't remember which came out for which platforms.

I just paid the fiver. Not exactly a huge pocket dent! Not sure about the game so far, its OK but I didn't expect the turn based game play. Was hoping for a more RTS type game. I'll give it time though, it seemed worthy of a bit of persistence.

But prone to crashes, bugs and struggling to emulate properly on modern PCs (it runs in DosBox). Great game though.

Thre's also a mid-point UFO trilogy - Aftermath, Aftershock and Afterlife - that are somewhere between 3rd person action RGP and RTS - your units carry out commands in real time, but you can pause the game to issue new commands, so it's a bit more forgiving than RTS (seriously, an x-com based RTS would be muderously difficult!). They're all a fiver each on steam at the minute, and are probably included in some multi-game packs.

More to the point I should never have ditched my P133/DOS 6.22 box. At least I would've been able to watch it crash as originally intended that way
