H1z1
Is anyone playing this?
I picked it up a few nights ago and I'm liking it so far.
I have been playing on pve server which made it interesting when someone decided to try attacking me with an axe :D
I havent played day-z standalone but I did play the arma version and this feels a lot more polished than that did.
Crafting is also awesome :D
SO Who's playing ? Any particular servers you are using?

Re: H1z1
I REALLY want to get this but am put off by the lack of controller support. I heard the performance is a lot better than day z.

Re: H1z1
Its going to be free to play with in game purchases on release I think, so I won't be buying into a beta!

Re: H1z1
yup no way i'm paying to beta test their product when it'll be free in six months or so. does look promising though

Re: H1z1
It does look interesting but like above I don't do early access anymore, I end up burning out on a half finished game and never play the released version.

Re: H1z1
I thought that when it's released properly there would be an up front charge to buy the game?
It feels a lot more polished than day-s and the ability to craft buildings it awesome although i haven't got around to it yet. I spent most of my time just walking around so far :D

Re: H1z1
Nope, it will be completely free to play on release. Apparently the paid for items are resource drops that anyone in the server can go for... which is ridiculous. Pay $5 for a crate drop then some badass with loads of weapons comes along and kills you for it.
The game does seem to have some great qualities over Day-Z, like the fact they actually seem to be planning on finishing it, but charging for early access on a game that will be free, then having the in game paid for items offer almost no advantage to you makes no sense to me. Dont get me wrong, I dont like pay to win either, but in the greater scheme of things if I'm going to plunge money into a FTP game, I expect some kind of return on it.
