    Re: Squad

I've played this for a few hours and had my first proper game feel last night, we capped a base while I laid down suppressive fire and our squad attacked from one side while another attacked from the other side, we had great commes in our squad and between the other squads, it was a quick attack and we had the base back in about a minute, I got a really good feeling from it.

It isn't the smoothest of games just yet but I reckon it has a lot of potential.

    Re: Squad

This has now up to alpha 4.0, and I am have about 70hrs of game time with it. Its rekindled my interest in gaming, havent played anything this much in quiet a few years. Latest patches have sorted my performance issues, also threw some more memory at my rig which seemed to help a bit as well. Works nicely with my AMD /ATI rig.

This game is totally reliant on comms, so if you havent got a mic, dont bother.
No vehicles, but maps work perfectly without them. Bit of running to get in to battle, but the use of rally points speeds things up once the first phase of the match is over.
People are already specialising as squad commanders, medics, marksmen, etc.
Sounds effects are some of the best I have heard in many years.
Game is reliant on good squad commanders to organise things, lay down rally points, ammo caches, etc.

Havnt enjoyed a game so much since being in a DoD clan, had some great battles. Think the lack of ranking up helps the game play, its all about the team rather than unlocking extra stuff.

    EDIT
Just to add, a good round will last about an hour, but you can jump in and out if there are spare slots on the server.
