Oh my. Totally not interested in Total War.. but totally interested in a good Warhammer game.. what to do...?
I've been exactly the oposite.
I've always been a big fan of Total War games, but recently they've been throwing out right turds and then trying to polish them. Took the best part of a year to make Rome 2 worth playing. That and thier DLC policy is really turning me off what was my favorite series.
I'd wait for the reviews to come in before you do anything, even if you plan on buying it.
But Warhammer isn't somthing that appeals to me.
All the total wars have been broken to some degree on release.
I bought every tw game but stopped after empire, the lack of multi core support which was later fixed and the awful AI which never was has dulled my appetite. The multiplayer was broken with mortars being too op and took a very long time to reduce their accuracy.
This could be good but flying mechanics band magic are going to be very difficult to implement. The usual strategy map shennagans which will fail to limit the hugely op units in WH may damage the single player game. Sega will most probably rush release. I suppose time will tell
Will have to wait then. GW used to be quite pushy on the quality of products that went out under licensing but I think that's slipped recently.
I must say, as someone who is more into the battle aspect, rather then the political aspect of such games, I have only really enjoyed Shogun2 to date (although I haven't tried Attila yet after the major let-down of Rome2)....but boy did I enjoy it :)
I do expect Warhammer to be closer to Shogun2 than Rome2......so as a Warhammer fan, I am very much looking forward to this one indeed. Just a shame the trailer is nothing other than a cinematic.....
Thought it was 40k there for a sec!!!!! Very deflated now........
