Played it, but got bored after awhile. Same happened with Skyrim and with Dragon Age Inquisition. For me there is such a thing as too much content it seems.

I've not gone back to it at all since the dlc stopped, after Far Harbour I think I'd exhausted what the game had to offer, brilliant value considering the number of hours is put into it!

Came to this late, just got the dlc, just got a 1080 and 1440p. Only got a dozen or so mods. Happy days, got more mods to find.

I enjoyed 'FO4' more than 'FO New Vegas'.

I tried its Survival Mode after completing the normal game (on Expert) but found it just too difficult. As saves are only permitted by having bedtime, I found the # of times I was RIP bushwhacked (having played for c.30 mins) and having to restart at the last zzzing location, was just too onerous.

it's £9.99 on steam this week. i loved FO3, never really got into new vegas but I just dont have the desire to check this one out even at a tenner.

Is it worth buying the Fallout 4 GOTY editon over the standard edition? I've seen a lot of lukewarm responses with the DLC but don't want to miss out on the full experience.

Depends on the difference in price, some of them are rubbish but there are a couple that add decent story.

Get the game with all the DLCs - many of the DLCs people thought were rubbish were more for the build system,so if you build stuff like me they are definitely useful!!

Still playing this - over a 1000 hours of actual gameplay now. Built a 23 story skyscraper at Abernathy farm and I can make my own synths now. Have a few 100 settlers too.
