I've been loving World Of Tanks for the last year or two. It's a free to play, you can pay for premium vehicles and various other things, but you certainly don't need to.

It's an online multiplayer game, which as you express an interest in Warcraft, may interest you. The battles last around 10 minutes, so it's quite easy to dip in and out for a few games. Useful if you have kids etc

I really recommend picking up SpeedRunners it's currently on offer on Steam. It's a multiplayer running game where you battle against other people or friends. Just hosted a LAN with some friends and we played it straight for about 4 hours it's quite addictive.

Depends on the type of games you like, are you looking for games to push your rig or just things you missed on PC?

    Re: Must have games

XCom: Enemy Unknown is a nice turn-based squad combat game. It doesn't have the strategic depth of the early 90s original, but it's a decent attempt at reproducing the core game for a modern audience.

If you like roleplaying games for my money the definitive PC RPG is Neverwinter Nights (the original one; avoid NWN2 like the plague ). You can pick it up on GOG for around £7 for the diamond edition which has all the expansions. It's well over a decade old now so that graphics aren't going to leave you breathless, but the gameplay is superb, you get something like 7 official stories to work through, and there's a wealth of community developed content that you can tap into (as well as a toolset for creating your own modules).

Obviously if you're interested in Warcraft then Warcraft 3 is probably a reasonable shout - it's essentially the immediate predecessor to WoW and a highly regarded RTS in its own right (sadly I'm terrible at RTS games). If you get the Frozen Throne expansion it also includes an epilogue module that's much more like a traditional party RPG, which is good fun.

None of those are graphically intensive (Warcraft 3 and NWN are both well over a decade old), so they're unlikely to push a modern gaming rig particularly hard; but they're games I keep going back (NWN in particular) regardless of what new games I pick up in the meantime.

Crysis 3 - Just purely for the eye candy and to show what the pc can do in terms of graphics.

Check humblebundle.com for well.... Bundles. A good way to get loads of older and indie games cheap.

    Tomb Raider 2013

I know that's a surprise.. it was for ME too when I played it on PC.

    was superb , truly excellent.

the sense of scale and height, and fear and tension are really pretty good.

    Re: Must have games

Dark Souls is my all time favorite.

But here are some more unconventional games I really enjoyed, they're not graphically impressive but to me they are very specific to the PC gaming experience:

    Primordia, The Inner World.

League of Legends is the most popular PC game - quite addictive though once you get into it!
