Found it slower than World of Tanks, but the ships have a real sense of power which is also good. Very few issues playing the game, just got a tad bored with the constant grind after a while, especially when going up tiers after 4.

I can agree with you on that. I've just unlocked the tier 6 USS cruiser and it felt really grind-y. Played a single game in it against bots just to test it out and got 140k damage! Not a bad start.

I was always put off from World of Tanks because of the HUGE tech trees. I couldn't start grinding because I didn't even know where my end goal was!

    Re: World of Warships

I tried the Beta just before it launched, and whilst I appreciate the slower strategy of naval combat, I just found it a bit too slow for a game. Whilst you can say a lot of games have a grind of some sort, I found I got bored of the "core-game-loop". And after I lost 10 games in a row, I remembered why I stopped playing WoT; even I just sat there AFK, I would have thought statistically my team would have won at least one!

It's certainly a bit of a marmite game that's for sure!

If it makes you feel anymore the desire to come back I have a 59% win ratio so I'm sure we'll get a win eventually xD

For those who do play add me on the EU server : Kamiazaaaaaa

I've only ever played solo on it so I would love a friend there!

    Re: World of Warships

I think I got a key for it when I bought my CPU, but never tried it out - in fact I'd totally forgotten about it. Might give it a try, sounds like a different pace to Rocket League though.

Yeah, I tried it for a while, but grinding is a pet hate so it didn't last very long. A shame, because I enjoyed it to begin with.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Likewise - eventually I just found something else to get on with. Providing you enjoy the grinding & frustrating battles when pitted against higher tiers then you'll have plenty to keep you entertained
