Hows my build for 4k gaming?

Overkill on the PSU and RAM but graphics are only just capable of 4k - and is VERY dependant on game support for SLI which is limited. I'd wait for at least six months really.

Pretty much agree with kalniel. You will be completely dependent on SLI and it's very unclear how compatible Nvidia are with DX12 and Vulcan.

Similar in all the key points to my machine - although I don't have 2x 1080s I only have one.

I have a 1440p gsync monitor and it works perfectly for me - mostly play overwatch (when not in VR) which gives me 90-100fps at max settings. At 4K I'd expect to get around 60 which is the absolute minimum you need imo, so it's on the edge.

Why even bother with 4K atm? 1440 is already a massive leap up from 1080 imo and the hardware for sustained 60+fps just isn't available yet. SLI doesn't solve the problem on the whole and is far too game dependant..just isn't worth it imo.

My advice would be to keep that build but with a single 1080 and go 1440 (with g sync) now, then upgrade to 4K in a years time when its viable - hopefully with a single card by that point. You will still be able to sell your 1080 for a reasonable amount, or even better get an EVGA one and use their step up programme if you live in a supported country

1440P with G-Sync would be my suggestion as well. I do have a 4K monitor sat beside my Asus PG279Q which i use for desktop work and editing but not for gaming. Hardware is just not there at the moment so i would wait.

Id agree with other Users that the 1000Watt PSU is overkill, i made that mistake when I made my first build, purchasing the Corsair RMI 1000 for 5820K,16 DDR4 Vengance, 2x970 GTX in SLI, 2x1Tb SSHD's,256GB AHCI M.2, 500GB SSD, with a custom waterloop to cool the GPU's and CPU, I think I could've done with a 750W PSU, but saying that because I'm only using about 60% of my current PSU I'm getting near silent operation.
