    Cool Streaming PC to tablet

    Hi All

I’m looking to buy a tablet to stream games to from my PC, can anyone make any recommendations?

Preferably something that would support a controller wired or otherwise
I have looked at a Shield but don’t have a GTX card, I have an AMD card so I guess a different tablet would be just as effective in the absence of a GTX card.

It would help plicate the Mrs so we are sat in the same room were she doesn’t have to watch me play games!!!

There was something recently that worked as a client to steam (and you can add any game to the steam library to stream)

I cannot remember its name though, nor do I know how good it is.

You'd be better off gaming in the other room and setting up video conferencing so that you can appear together

Was it an app called something like Moonlight? It's Android only.

    Re: Streaming PC to tablet

The Linx Vision 8 is a Windows tablet that's built pretty much explicitly for game streaming - it comes with a controller-dock and seems to work pretty well. Obviously being Windows you can install Steam for game streaming (the Atom SoC can probably manage older games at lowest quality without streaming, too!), and I believe there's also a built in game streaming app in Windows 10 so you should be able to stream non-Steam games too with a bit of fiddling.

It was on offer a few months ago, but seems to be a) in low stock most places, and b) have gone back up to £150 - e.g. at Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/product/4552925

Still, £150 isn't an awful price for a decent 8" tablet and a game controller.

Thanks all I will check that tablet out, I had a quick look at Moonlight it seemed to be Nvidia driven as well. Unfortunately what she likes to watch on tv is absolute drivel at times. Cheers
