I've just pre-ordered Destiny 2, Never played the first one but looking forward to this, none the less. I watched the new Trailer and looks exciting
I heard that you need a CLAN / Team to play the multiplayer, So if anyone else gets this let me know.

    heres a comment. https://twitter.com/MaxOfS2D/status/923066547492573186

    and another https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheG...ns_open_while/

many many people getting banned for no particular reason,

probably why no-ones interested in playing

    edit, bungies official response https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46426

We have seen lots of questions about bans being issued in the PC version of Destiny 2. To provide some information, we would like to share some facts.

    The following is true:
Destiny 2 cannot automatically ban you, only Bungie can ban a player after a manual investigation
Yesterday, we banned approximately 400 players on PC
Bans were applied to players who were using tools that pose a threat to the shared ecosystem of the game
We did not (and will not) issue any bans for the use of overlays or performance tools, including Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc.
Information on using third-party applications can be found here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46101
We are overturning 4 of the bans that were issued during the PC Beta

We are committed to providing an experience that is fun and fair for the millions of players who have joined us in this community.

Yes, seems like a complete cluster......

No ones playing because most PC players seem to be getting perma banned for using overlays and fps counters.....while console players are getting 2 week tempbans for using hacks.

I can see this being a complete failure on PC, especially if you have other Blizzard games on your account!

    Re: Destiny 2 - PC

Friend paid £70-ish quid for the Deluxe version and I got to watch him play a bit of it last night...

Stunningly beautiful graphics, although quite vividly coloured and slightly cartoonish, reminding me of Borderlands.
Gameplay comprising elements of several other games, making it feel like a hybrid of Mass Effect, Halo, The Division and several others, all of which I've played already and so not feeling much need to get into this.

Not so much a fan of humans in big armour and this felt a bit like a Japanese-influenced Space Hulk sorta thing.
I like PvE games, but not so much team-based PvE and not at those prices.
Story certainly sounds interesting though, not that I know what happened in D1, mind.

Not totally dismissing yet and would consider if it was on sale...

Costing more on PC than console = ridiculous. I have no interest in buying it until the price is more sensible.

Given the issues people are experiencing + the ridiculously high price = big chance of a PC flop.

    LOL:
    http://gamegpu.com/action-/-fps-/-tp...2-test-gpu-cpu
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages...review,4.html#

At qHD Vega seems to push ahead of the GTX1070/GTX1080 by a decent amount an Ryzen seems to be ahead of Haswell and trades blows with Skylake in the game. Only the higher clocked Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake CPUs are quicker. At 1080p the Nvidia cards are faster, which is a reverse of what we saw in other games where Vega was winning.

Also for some reason the RX570/RX580 are faster than the RX470/RX480 by a decent amount.

The performance profile in this game is not what I expected it seems!!

    Edit!!

    GN sees the same:

    Re: Destiny 2 - PC

Bungie have put out a statement on the bans - apparently no where near as many bans as it appeared from reddit & their forums, and all legitimate. I'm inclined to believe them as i've had overlays on since I started playing yesterday at 6:02, and been streaming on twitch earlier today using OBS and not had a problem..

    https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46426

The price is pretty normal for a new AAA game at around £41.99 on amazon, but it will drop fairly quickly I think if you are happy to use grey market sites like CDKeys (they already have some regions at £35). It's 6 weeks old on consoles so is going to be cheaper there, but then you get an inferior experience.

Personally I'm loving it at the moment - looks really good, plays silky smooth on max settings @ 1440p for me, and just feels good to play. Really enjoying the campaign and at least the story is making more sense than the first game. There are plenty of great comedy lines from your ghost, and well its just plain fun. I am playing solo at the moment and will probably stay that way until I unlock the instances @ level 20, but that suits me fine..no need to team up with others and the difficulty seems pretty much spot on for me - just enough of a challenge but still easy enough to make you feel awesome when it wants you to

All in all its a great update over the first Destiny and I can play it on my PC with a keyboard/mouse rather than being limited to a controller as with the last game - good job by Bungie & visceral games imo! The usual test with Destiny is how long it lasts - as long as they don't pull a trick like they did with Taken King (making you repurchase the whole game for an expansion) we should be good for plenty of content. It's a good game to break up my PUBG games I guess it's biggest disappointment for me is the limited crucible options with only 4v4 being available at the moment; would really like to see them up the player cap later on as i typically enjoy the "bigger" multiplayer battles rather than the small ones. Never know, could be one for an expansion pack.

    Re: Destiny 2 - PC

    thanks for the comments <3

Its been a good game so far, less issues than Bugfield 1, Lovely graphics, great music. There have been FPS drop issues in the EDZ zone of the game. After like 20min of playing you'll notice your FPS drop. few people have reported this and I'm sure they'll fix it in a patch or two.
Ttaskmaster yes the game has elements of Mass effect & The division in there Its a fun, casual game

I've joined the OCUK Clan so we have a few players on there.
I cancelled my pre-order & then changed my mind, re-added when i noticed i didn't have anything to play.
Just finished Dragon age Inq + Tresspasser DLC. Only game I still play in Battlefield 3. I think its expensive but thats me of all current games.
The issues with Overlay doesn't bother me, its got its own FPS counter & I've used shadowplay (without any overlays) to record. Good thing is Bungie is starting to un-ban ppl. Its early but lets just wait and see how this plays out.

That's not necessarily a good thing... I adored the pants off the ME trilogy and even bought some Merchandise™, but The Division got quite boring quite quickly once the basic campaign story was over.

    Re: Destiny 2 - PC

I think Spud1 got most of it on point. I am really enjoying Destiny 2 on the PC, despite the normal Reddit/Twitter backlash to a very small number of bans. Overreactions are getting worse.

The game is very good though, I'm really enjoying it. Looks amazing, runs very smoothly and has great gameplay. I have hit level 20, started to get my gear above 200 and working towards the "soft cap" which is 265 I believe. From there I'll look for a clan to do raids and competitive PvP. For now, more PvE events and casual PvP.

P.S. I wonder why "gear grind" games are accepted when it's ARPG games like Diablo 3, Path of Exile and Grim Dawn, but not for shooters like Destiny 2 and The Division?

Good to hear some impressions. I'm about to order a 1080 which comes with a free copy of Destiny 2. makes spending £540 on a GPU a bit more bearable!
