Reminds me off an aguement I overheard a long time ago.

Everyone was boarding the plane and this guy comes up to one of the passengers and says to him something like, 'Excuse me, your sitting in my seat.'. The other guy truns around and says that he isn't, but the first guy insists that he is. The guy in the seat says something like, 'You might THINK I'm in your seat, but you see I have to sit by the window or I get airsick'. The other bloke gets REALLY angry and the guy in the seat insists on staying put, eventually a hostie comes along to sort it out. She turns to the guy sitting down and says, "I'm sorry sir, but you ARE in his seat and will have to move, you see, he's the Captain.."

Im with Douf on this one......as far as I am aware, when a 757 takes off, the runway has a large groove down the centre (like a mechanics "pit" ) for the tail to go into...the under carriage runs either side of it, and the tail goes right down into it

Then it shut's so people dont fall in

I did suffer vertigo on my first heli flight... was weird seeing the ground through the glass between my feet...

Never had a fear of flying... always had a very healthy fear of crashing though.

The worst experience I have had in a plane was in a little twin prop jobbie going to Endovien in Holland for a music festival. There were more staff on the plane than passengers and I was stick that many times the air stuedess gave me a black back as she was getting fed up with keep changing my sick bag, I filled 5 before she gave me the black bag

The trip back though was very enjoyable indeed. It was the same plane again but this time the ride seemed a lot smoother and when we came in over London it was nice looking at all the landmarks from the air
Spooky, my first ever flight a few years back was from Bham to Eindhoven too, again in a little propellor plane. Stewardess was dutch, blonde and well fit.

My flight was enjoyable, I was right next to a huge window and could see everything. Top stuff.

The journey back however wasn't. The plane we were supposed to fly back in "broke" before takeoff (brown pants time) so we got put on another plane. Alas this didn't have enough seats so I ended up being chauferred to Schipol (sp) where I got put on a plane full of stoners coming back from Amsterdam which wasn't kewl.

Take off was fun though, gotta love that G..
