I guess we'll see. Having the ability to check with the newest update will be interesting. As a maxwell owner though, the drivers actually reduce my performance in games so U havent updated drivers since september. If I can download compativility for my freesync monitor, I'll likely keep my 970 another year
Notice how they won't acknowledge the competing technology name, instead referring to those with it as "G-Sync Compatible", but I guess it's not a surprise given how they're stating they helped shape gaming monitors into that, ignoring the fact that G-Sync has higher costs due to being proprietary, but FreeSync doesn't as it's open to all.
TL;DR: NVIDIA lost the standards war, but don't want to admit it, and are still mostly trying to steer people in the direction of G-Sync.
