    Class comparisions...

I know a fair few of us have a fair few different alts, but i have to say i'm stunned by my new warrior and how strong he is. I mean i solo'd the raptor stolen silver quest in the southern barrens at lvl 19 with my Tauren Shaman, but
he's got healing capabilities etc. I figured my warrior might be a bit of a nightmare, but decided to do it anyway and walked through it like a hot knife through raptor flesh

I was taking 2 lvl 17 or 18's simultaneously with about 60% loss of health, and warriors recharge health soooo flipping quick 5 seconds later and i'm attacking the next set.

Sure i've no way got the damage output of a mage or shaman, who can load up front end damage by my god can i take some. Its what i love about this game ever class is completely playable, unique in its own right and damn enjoyable. LVL 19 had taken me a tad over 14hrs to achieve.

But it made me wonder if there are any other characters people are thinking of going either to experiment or start when they get to lvl 60 etc.

I found almost the opposite to be true. I really struggled to get my Orc warrior going and it took ages to get him up to lvl17. I haven't yet done the Stolen Silver quest as I don't think he could do it and I seem to be confounded at every turn by quests that are very difficult to complete.

He makes very little money as I've spent so much time trying to level up, I've neglected the other skills and his weaponry is, quite frankly, ****e and I can't buy anything better because I have no money - a vicious circle I can't seem to break.

When I began with my Tauren Druid, however, it was a different story. I seemed to fly through the levels for some reason. The quests seemed to be better balanced, with better rewards and they generated a quicker level progression. I'm at lvl 12/13 with a better weapon and more money than my warrior. Maybe it's a racial difference rather than a class one, I don't know, but I've definately found it easier with the druid.

I like my orc warrior L17 atm, and enjoying the game with him. Levels up steadily and easily makes $$$ with mineing/blacksmithing. Great weapons (2 handed axes rule tbh )

Its a good thing that you can;t solo every quest with him, forces you to group up and enjoy the multi player aspects of the game. That said quests are do-able on your own, just involes more planning and strategy.

Its more fun to take the time to progress slower and fully enjoy the game imho then to rush through the levels, missing out on many of the lower level quests as you go - its taken me about 32hrs to get up to level 17 with him, 32 hrs well spent imo

I haven't been rushing with the druid, Spud1, and I haven't yet missed a single quest. I just found the quests that I have done to be better balanced and the result was that level progression occured alot quicker. Everyone's experience is unique, I guess that's the beauty of the game, I was just outlining mine.

I know all the starting quests in all three areas off by heart, my lvl 19 warrior has done all the durotar quests, all the brill quests and has started off on the huge list of quests from the barrens XR.

well iv only played a warrior and altho its a pain at times not being able to heal during fights like some of the others can, its great gonig toe to toe with bigger things than yourself Iv played a bit over 4days ingame now and im lev28 and only really begining to get to the good stuff The thing thats really important for warriors tho is that they make sure they have the best eq they can at each level really, altho its something i dont do myself much i have managed to get some really nice bits that'll be with my awhile.

I wouldnt mind trying out the priest tho always like the monk types wont be doing it for awhile tho

I played a tauren warrior up to level 28 in the beta and he was good, but from lvl 22 onwards all his equipment sucked becuase i sent all my money to my troll shaman

I have been thinking about starting another character for a while now but i just can't decide on what to try. I have made it down to a short list of a few now, Priest, Driud, or Mage, and maybe a shaman but we have lots of them in the giuld.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Well i started playing with Balkoth my undead warlock, but it became rather tedius to lvl up, and my ever growing curiosity for the hunter resulted in is abandonment...i deleted him 2 days ago.
I love the hunter, its "easy" to lvl up, it makes cash rather easily (Skinning and leatherworking),we get the pets that can be rather helpfull (and they are cool ), besides never had this fun with the warlock!!
Arathor - Balgor lvl 47 Hunter

Ragnaros - Kostas lvl 8 Mage

    Arrrggg, shimber me timbers!!!

-Burn her, Burn her shes a witch!!
-How do you know shes a witch?
-Well she turned me into a NEWT!!
    -A newt??
    -...i got better...

I started a Priest a few days ago and I'm finding it much harder to level up than my Rogue, although not quite as bad as I expected now that I have got a wand.

Currently I have a one track mind, Hunter all the way, as it suits my style of play best. The combination of stand-off tactics and pet tank is a tidy combination.
For soloing I'd like to try a warrior for shear durability but I'd also like to try some form of spell caster for group play, similar to Pug in terms of look and feel.

I'm not going to start another character for a while but I can echo Mblaster's statement that levelling up with a priest is difficult. The problem is it's hard to solo as you aren't as useful at soloing as most of the other classes. However, once you group up a priest really comes into their own. Our highest level priest Repas teamed up with most of the guild early on to do things like Ragefire Chasms and Wailing Caverns and this was definitely the way to go.

Yeah, that's the reason i chose to make a priest as a 2nd character, great for grouping.

im a hunter , i tried before a Tauren warrior , it was a bad experience waaaaaaaaaayyyyy too borring , but my hunter kiks a?s .
We are snubbed in group invinting , but , when they realise how good we can be ...
I´d id RFC and WC , with some fasttrigger morons and i saved their pink lily arses many times at the cost of my little pet .

So apart of the ability of saving pink lily arses , we are great pullers and mob controlers .

Im very happy being a hunter , its a dificult task but a very rewarding one.

Sorry for the bad english , its only my second language ;P

Considering English is your second language, that's very impresive!

    LOL Iain...

I like spellcasters. Simple. Dunno why, but I do. Why I started with a Rogue is beyond me then... I suppose coz on Beta I tried a mage and found it very very difficult!

Then I read about Druid's. A nice Horde hybrid that can heal, tank, fight, casts damaging spells, turn into a fish/cat/bear... you name it, he (Rentau) can do it. Really enjoyed playing him. Only at lvl 25 now though coz I've been playing another char now.

A mage. Wow! So much fun it's unreal! I start from the furthest distance possible, bam! Hit em with a frost spell making em run slower. Then bam again! Hit em with a powerful fireball. If I have enough time I hit them with another fireball and then a fire blast. 90% of my enemies die before they reach me! If i'm in trouble I have frost nova which freezes all enemies around me, but if they get in close and I can't nova them, I'm dead.

Still, with my mage nearning lvl 20 and my druid over 25, I have a long way to go yet. Will enjoy these more before I continue with my rogue, create my warrior/priest/shamen/hunter!
