Today I ordered the game that has currently knocked the sim community on the floor in amazement, and it should be arriving from Play.com this week.



One review of this game has already given it 100% - possibly a little overzelous and fanboyed up, but still, its apparently THAT good.



One sticking point has been the release on DVD format only, which means I've had to shelf out for a DVD-Rom too, still, I've been guaranteed its well worth it.

What an absolutely incredible game. The sea graphics are so authentic you'd be forgiven for cracking open the dramamine, this is hands down the most visually impressive experience I've had since Il2 first came out, trust me on this - go flank speed at sunset on a choppy north sea and see what I mean - gobsmacking.

If you have the slightest interest in sub games or just want something a little different
and involving you NEED this game, it really is THAT good. I've only just scratched the [pun]surface[/pun] here.

Yeeees sank my first merchant today. Spotted him in the north sea doing a leisurely 6 knots - Basically I charged him at flank speed on the surface, firing a spread of 3 torps, first 2 missed, the 3rd didn't, and he went boom at about 900 yards range.

2400 tonnes notched up

Homewood bound now - these early Type II boats run out of juice quickly, so with about 30% derv left I'm heading home to Wilhelmsaven.
