I hate Assassins Creed.
Pretty much everything that was great about the series died alongside Ezio. Even the rather cool ship combat could not resuscitate it.
I hate all the money-grabbing spin-offs, janky ports and buggy releases, unimaginitive reiterations of gameplay and plot, dysmal sequels that have nothing to do with being an Assassin, insistence on putting in new features for new games simply because they're new games but which result in awful gameplay, the merchandising, the mindbending boredom of Uplay... and the ridiculous film that looks like it may have actually assassinated Fassbender's acting career!!
But I will probably get this one, just because it's free.....
AC Syndicate is excellent and takes the series back to its roots after the amazing Black Flag. It is set during Victorian London and captures the era perfectly.

I grabbed Inner Space, but haven't installed yet. I installed Faeria and my boy got right into that! It's a tough game in places...very strategic and similar to hearthstone.. but subtle different in many places.
Couple of interesting titles this week:

I'm a big fan of both. Sadly Watch Dogs doesnt have the player base for certain features to work, but it's still enjoyable. Better than Far Cry 4+ imho

Well, I finished all the plot elements of the game last night. That is to say, all the conquering bits, main story, ally missions and the Victoria stuff. Got a good percentage of the collectibles, and only got things like Helix glitches and beer bottles left, now.Quote:

Next free game is live and this time it is Sid Meir's Civilisation 6 which is another great entry in the series that caters to all skill levels and is enjoyable to just sit and relax playing.

Loved the concept, but when I tried it only a handful of servers had players, and you started in the middle of someones base every time. The spawn was awful and pointless imo.
Graphically great and had a prehistoric sci-fi Rust feel to it, but lack of players, servers and nutty spawn was too off putting.

Already had the Ghostbusters game.
Pretty good way to spend some time relaxing in a game, really, especially if you're a fan of the films!

I could never work my way back up the shaft. managed once to get to the bottom of the shaft, but got covered in slime and got stuck. :ban:
I only ever played the original Ghostbusters on C64, never tried the 2nd one
Unless I'm missing something it looks like the whole game is only 15 minutes, with 5+ of that being cut scenes.Quote:
