Anyone old enough to remember this game ?

It's being re-made by Microprose (who knew they were back? )

I loved it at the time.
Take part in the bombing offensive as just a plane. Or as a commander and plan the raids aswell.
Hopefully the gameplay will be sympathetic to the original.

They aren't Microprose. Much like Atari Microprose died years ago but it's skin is still being worn by whichever company bought the rights to it when it shut down. Hopefully they'll do the game justice anyway.

Wasn't the trailer in the article unrelated to the HBO Mighty Eighth? Maybe I have it confused with something else.

Those were so great back in the day-- imagine what could be done with current hardware! My favorite thing in EAW was doing bomber escort missions (although I sucked terribly because there was no auto-coordinated flight option--any remake has to have that).

New B-17 game will also include Lancaster bombers.

Looks like microprose have partnered with Sharp End Studio, who were making a game called Valiant Effort.
