    Flaming Cliffs Released

FC 1.1 has finally been released. Unsure whether or not I'm going to buy it for the following reasons:

    1. Invasive and cumbersome copy protection system with possible security flaws.

    2. No fix for a show-stopping bug which causes my game and many others to crash with a exception in the msvcrt.dll file. There is a common fix however and the dev's havn't bothered trying to look into it.

    3. Bug's present in the demo and no free patch to fix the myriad of problems present in 1.02.

    4. Eagle havn't bothered applying for an 'official' security certificate for the encryption on their site.

    5. Only paypal and Visa/Mastercard.

Now i'm all for supporting developers in the flight sim market, and without a doubt there are some nice features in this addon, but seriously, Eagle Dynamics are taking the piss if the expect what they are asking for this addon with these problems.

Also they should try to get a translator, as the product is described as......

"The unofficial add-on for LOCK ON 1.1"

Question is, have they managed to get the game to run at a decent framerate on reasonably specced PCs ?

Oh yea, add that to my list too, the engine, environment, save, track and campaign load is a bunch of badly coded rubbish. What did I ever like about this game???

People burn your copies of Lock-On, dont listen to the people who say 'we have to support the flight sim devs'. We shouldn't have to put up with this rubbish.
