    shards & astral Essences

Please help - where can I find these for my next level of enchantment, I've been all over the ruddy place looking for them and they are rarer than hens teeth at the moment.

Huh? You disenchant items, they give you the reagents you need.

Try disenchanting weapons mainly, they are more likely to give better reagents IMO. Also, for things like astral essences and glimmering shards, you'll need to disenchant higher level eq. Try weapons with a min level of 20. Also, blue items ALWAYS give a shard. Purple items always give 2 i think... or was it 3?

Might be cheaper to ask if guild members can make them cheaper first. When Repas started out enchanting, TiG made him loads and loads of Brown Robes, dead cheap to make and really good for levelling up enchanting at the beginning. There may be another sweet spot like that, though disenchanting won't give you level ups now, which is a shame.

Being a tailor is the best bet for enchanters, as you can make things to bazooka to dust

What skill are you at? I don't really remember using astral much...

But yeah by and large, armour for dust, weapons for essence though not 100% so...and blue items for A shard, purple items for shards. Shard is not random, but based on level of item disenchanted...the lower 5 of a 10 level band give small shards, the upper 5 give large (I think this is true).

    HTH!
    Well Hello!

I think that's right, but as you say, it's not always 100%. Enchanting is too expensive without a guild who will help supply green/blue items for either very cheap or free IMO, it's why I had to give it up. All my money from Rentau was being piled into items just for disenchants, then I had major troubles selling any as most of our guild members already had them from higher level enchanters.

I'm currently at 178 with my tailoring and 159 with enchanting and now need more "rarer" stuff such as the astral essences and shards.

Shame I'll have to disenchant some blue gear as they sell very well indeed

But they "should" sell even better as enchantments... I just didn't have the patience to hang around major cities shouting about what I could do and how much for!

There should be an advertisement board for enchanters like AH I thought.
