Might that be where you go once they increase the level limit? Was talking to someone about this the other day, where are you going to go to level up once they increase the limit? Obviously they'll have to open/create new areas, mobs and quests, just wondering where they could go!

Blizzard have mentioned a new island above the main two, that is going to be added in the future, but i can't remember what it's called.

As for the Dark Portal, that was located in Azeroth (the continent) and was connected to Draenor, the homeworld of the Orcs.
