I can't believe how they are not responding to people ranting on their forums. WoW is a great game, Blizzards support however is getting worse! It's like they have our money now and they don't care.
In one post on the WoW Forums there was about 20 odd pages of people complaining about not being able to log in. The only post an admin made was to "remind people of the rules of the forum" and warning people may get banned etc. This proved that they WERE reading them and that they WERE ignoring people and not giving a damn about customer service.
Not good enough Blizzard. Don't let WoW down, don't let your customers down.
Would anyone, Nick or Kez perhaps, be able to get in touch with Blizzards PR team and ask them about their customer service, or lack of? Would be interesting to hear what they say about it.
It's not their customer service I have a problem with, it's the lag problems that are pissing me off, and the not being able to connect. What do you expect them to say? The most you can get is "Sorry we have some problems with our login servers and they should be up again in 30mins", and that's what you get (usually without an ETA though).
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
I expect them to say "We are very very sorry for taking millions of pounds from you and not providing the servers or the IT support staff and customer support staff who can handle such a challenge. We will use these millions to get some decent servers and staff instead of filling our fat wallets and behaving like Mr Burns whilst running away laughing with your money."Originally Posted by Mblaster
lol, So it's the problem that's getting you annoyed as well? And the fact that they can't fix the problem, not their actual customer service?

Given the normal calibre of people on the official forums, I'm not surprised in the least they don't reply much. 90% of people there throw a huge tantrum and start shouting the moment everything isn't exactly to their liking. When the typical post is "FFS BLIZARD SORT IT OUT FFS!" or similar it's hardly surprising they rarely respond.![]()
Given that they announced they had an "air con" problem on Sunday and that they also posted that it was resolved, why I have I, and many others, had problems logging in and staying logged in since then? They haven't said enything about that problem and all they have said about the new "lag" issues is that they want us to fill out when and where we are experiencing it. No apologies, no estimated time fixes, no comments on the forum about what is going on. Nothing.Originally Posted by Mblaster
I'm not a professional administrator or network repairman, these people should be. They should know why it's casuing these problems, they should know how to fix these problems and they sure as hell should have the money to actually fix them. By not letting people know what's happening and keeping paying customers in the dark they are showing that they don't care about customer service (which applies not only to conversing with customers but actually providing them with a service that they're paying for) and they just want as much money as possible.
Yes, some people rant and rave, but they have every right to. Why should people sit back and shut up (i.e. not complain) and wait for the companies to deal with things in their own times? Typical British attitude IMO. When I pay for something I expect something in return, and when I don't get it, I'll kick up a fuss. I won't however start demanding compensation like some people seem to do, probably following the Yank way of demanding compensation for everything that goes wrong.Originally Posted by Butcher
We've had problems since the start and it doesn't seem to be improving, so why should we put up with it?
Up till now I have been quite understanding with the disconects and random server maintenence shedules.. However the lag when attempting pvp in tarren mill last night was beyond a bloody joke, I would click then the action if I was lucky would happen 5 minutes later. If I wasnt lucky I would be yet again booted from the server.
Im getting a tad annoyed now as I do pay blizzard a not insignificant sum per month, If i stopped paying would blizzard be as understandig as I have been and let me continue playing...
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
I'm not saying we should put up with it, but hurling abuse doesn't solve anything. Keeping a reasonable, civil tone is far more productive than just flying off the handle at Blizzard.Originally Posted by Allen
Personally I got straight on last night and had a stable connection all evening so it's not like it's a universal issue. And when things are only affecting certain people they can be very tricky to track down.
As for paying XYZ to them - they have already given out one free day of play for outages, it wouldn't surprise me if they do the same in the future with regards to the current issues.
Totally agree with that, but it was a little annoying that the only response to 20 pages of complaints (most of which were presented in a reasonable manner, like mine was) was a warning of keeping to the rules of the forum.Originally Posted by Butcher
Last night it took me about 30 mins to log on, and I got disconnected several times. I have only experienced this on the first day of WoW and since Sunday when they had "air con" problems which was apparantly fixed.Originally Posted by Butcher
But that one free day of play doesn't often make up for the inconvenience of not being able to play when it suits "you", rather than when it suits their servers.Originally Posted by Butcher
I couldn't care less whether they make a comment on the forums or not, it's not going to help me in the slightest. They can't give an ETA until they have found the problem and know how to fix it, but that wouldn't help me either.Originally Posted by Allen

What compensation do you want then? Other than giving out free play time, I'm not sure what you can really expect them to give you...
I don't think blizzard want half their playerbase unable to play, so I can only assume they are trying to resolve any problems. Just because they don't reply on a forum thread doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. I'd rather they were fixing problems than spending time replying to people.
Well that's totally up to you. I'd prefer not to be kept in the dark about these issues, but to be honest, my main gripe is with the connection and disconnection problems that keep happening, not lag. I can understand why lag could happen in huge battles, but it is still annoying even to those of us who are running through to get some questing done.Originally Posted by Mblaster
An answer? An apology? No more excuses? Letting us know what they are doing about the problems? Letting us know what our money is going on if it isn't being spent on working servers and decent support staff?Originally Posted by Butcher
It doesn't take a moment to post a message on the forums, and to be fair, they obviously were reading the forums as there was a comment made by one of the Blizzard team on that exact post.Originally Posted by Butcher
