Allen I think your sheep is 30s, it tops out at 50s for the highest level spell. you can also re-sheep mobs if you need more duration.

It's 1.5s cast time not insta, but cheap on mana.

I'd never use it mid-fight anyway, regardless of the regen rate, no point. And I know you can re-sheep them but I normally kill the others before having to do that as it is. Might be useful in higher level instances though when fights last longer!

You get a rested bonus whenever you log out regardless of where you are. The inns give you a rested bonus while you remain logged in.

To clarify you gain rested xp no matter where you logout. However if you log out whilst in an inn, you accumulate rested xp quicker.

Yep, but there is a MASSIVE difference in amount of double XP you gain if you log out in capitals compared to in the middle of nowhere..
