Yes that is the sword, but i need to complete the quest to open up other plans i think.

Its a quest for the reciepe which means its a 5 person group, that for means all 60's and a very strong 5 person group at that. Even tho its a nice sword i can't see many people wanting that first one.

As for making them all day long, as they need 2x Azerothian Diamond. I'd guess you might be limited by materials...

The heartseeker is not a swordsmith reciepe afaik, but one that is makable by all top lvl blacksmiths, again its just another drop only reciepe.

Quest details for stratholme as follows..

"Find the Black Guard Swordsmith in Stratholme and destroy him. Recover the Insignia of the Black Guard and return to Seril Scourgebane.
If I am short with you, it is for a reason. The plans for the creation of the great blade, Corruption, have been stolen by the Black Guard: Elite skeletal units of Baron Rivendare. Yes, Baron Rivendare of Stratholme. The Black Guard swordsmith now guards those plans with his... undeath. Slay him and return proof of this deed and I shall train you in the ways of the swordsmith."

Stratholme is a difficult instance for a 5-Man group at level 60, let alone lvl50. In order to complete the swordsmithing quest you have to open the blacksmithing plans by the first Ziggurat on the undead side of Stratholme, just after you fight the abominations. The Baroness is at the top of the stairs. The plans are up against the wall directly to the right of the Ziggurat's stairs. When you click on them an elite named mob, the Black Guard Swordsmith, spawns that you have to kill and loot an item from, the Insignia of the Black Guard. Return that item to Seril Scourgebane in Everlook, Winterspring and you're done.

Just a thinkabout question

Lets say a raid group goes in of ten peepz. Gets to the boss area? Then disbands into two groups of 5, would they bothe be in the same instance?
Could that happen and would the quest then be available to complete?

Just a n idea that i am sure has been thought of before, but hey worth a try - otherwise i need 3 and a bit lvls QUICKLY!

It's not marked on that map but IIRC the swordsmith is on the right as you approach the Baroness. He definitely in the UD side of strath. If you can get someone with a back door key in group it'll go a lot faster.

Note the swordsmith doesn't spawn until you loot some plans or such on the ground. They're a little out of the way at the side of the road so you may have to investigate a little.

You can't do that because once your group is made into a Raid group it is always a raid group, even if you go down to only 5 members, to make it possible to do the quest you would need to disband the group, and this would reset the instance i think.

You used to be able to disband from a raid group to do quests but that got fixed in a patch. When you enter an instance with a raid group the instance is flagged as raid and non-raid quests will not work. You have to take a 5-man group to quest in strath.
