Some noobish questions from me.

OK, to save me having to bug you guys in-game all the time, I'm going to put a list of noobish questions up for WoW in here. Here goes....


1. What is this beast-slaying, with all this red or blue glow?

2. Where do you guys set as your 'inn'? I'm finding I'm travelling back and forth.

3. Is there a Horde base/camp in The Hinterlands? And apart from the Elf in the hill, anyone else give quests there?

4. Whats the difference between 'member' and 'veteran' in the guild?

5. Are there any 'solo' quests when you get to lvl58-60? Or is it all elites and raids?


...and finally, why the hell are you guys ALWAYS in Orgrimmar?!

Beast slaying increases your dmg output against beasts - main reason u buy it, is because it glows in funky colours speak to mattak, drognra, eru, slarys or ellia for one. (depending on lvl)

My inn is always set at orgrimar, so If outbid on an item im bidding on I can warp straight back

Hinterlands - no, not that i know of

Usually get veteran status at lvl 40 - you probably have been overlooked - as you only play when the GM is in bed

Aye some quests, i ran out at lvl 59 and relied on instances

erm, yeah you do have a fair few quests around the 58-60 mark, mostly in Winterspring & the burning steppes and the western plaguelands.
I don't think there's quite enough though as I seem to have run out at level 59 and a half so will have to do a few Dire Maul runs to bump myself up

There will also be a horde flightpath appearing in the Hinterlands in the next patch i believe

I think nearly everyone's hearth is set to orgrimmar as it seems the easiest place to get wherever you want to go and all the main useful buildings are there in close proximity.

1. Beast slaying is an enchantment that gives a red glow to your weapon and increases the damage you deal when fighting beasts. The enchantment that gives the blue glow increases the damage when fightling any kind of mob.
2.I set my Inn place to Orgrimmar and usually start and finnish there, but it varied a lot more when i was at lower levels.
3. There isn't at the moment but I'm pretty sure there will be in the next patch.
4.Errr... nothing Just a different name, doesn't give you any more privilages
5. Yeah there are quite a few but there are mainly elite quests.

Yeah there is going to be a flight path in hinterlands in next patch.
There are plenty of quests to go to lvl 60 solo, you find they are hidden in deep quest lines however.

Always in orgrimmar?, well AH is there, easy to get to XR, and the northern areas where lots of quests and high lvl stuff is..

You'll likely find i'm in TM or XR far too much now

As a Mage I don't need my Hearthstone to be set to Org, I can just teleport there. My Hearthstone is normally set to the area, or main area, I'm normally questing in. Either that, or XR as there's plenty of places you can get to from XR.

I don't think that's the case. Veterans are those who show they have helped out a lot, not just reached lvl 40. At least that's what it was when I was Orificer, as I also wondered if people became a Veteran at lvl 40.

Wouldn't know about the rest, haven't been to Hinterlands and am far, far away from being lvl 60!

Anyway, thanx for the answers, I'm sure I have a few more which I'll add to this thread at another date.

...now, time to get beastslaying!

I'll soon be able to do Lesser Beastslaying (thanks to Eru, unless he needs it back?) which is +6 to beasts.
