I personally like to see input from as many people as possible, if i am asking for advice or just generaly discussing anything with regard to WoW. There fore i will still post in this forum. The private forum (If it happens) would not be my first port of call to post. I think what madocks want is an area that can be private, where people who have a vested interest in the guild can post issues and concerns.

I like the idea, and i dont think it will become the default area to post as the people who currently post in this area seem to enjoy the overall forum participation.

I'm sure there would be rules regarding posts within a private section of this sub-forum, preventing it's mis-use. I trust Velan would moderate a section such as this accordingly.

I think that we should have a private forum for the posts that are specific to the giuld, and all general WoWthreads can go in the main forum. The only reason I see a need for this s for voting, I don't want people outside of the giuld to be voting on polls about the giuld, and so the last one was done through the WoW mail system, less than satisfactory...

What do you have to hide? Planning to kill us all and steal our money?

What form of issues do you speak of Teepee my friend? I'm inquisitive as to the usefulness of such a forum? I assume this would be of a restricted nature, open to officers only also?

I agree it would have it's usefulness.

Maybe think of this private forum like a round table, let anyone speak with every intent so that all may hear, but you wouldnt want just anyone to hear Guinevere and Lancelot being accused of having a little fun in the forest would you?

If Velan makes a clear crteria for it's use the public forum will remain active. It would be common sense when the good times to use it are. It will only give an extra option to help the guild.

I'm all for a private forum for our WoW guild.

The reasons I have heard in this thread for NOT wanting a private section just doesn't make sense to me. Like WoW resources for non HH members: there are thousands of WoW on the net to look up resource, so why rely on the HH posts? If you do rely on them, then maybe you should consider joining the guild.

I disagree on that point Proplus. Its not the nature of hexus to hide away WoW resources for anyone. Plus i think the whole idea is for a private forum for the officers nothing more...

I don't think its a good idea. If there is stuff to sort out it could be done over messenger or by email. I'm personally not so sure why people get so het up over it all anyway!

No, the original notion was to have a private forum for HH members to discuss guild matters, not just for officers.

In my view, this section of the forum is like a completely dedicated website to members of HH, like Umbrage having their own website. So, I wouldn't exactly be going up and joining their forum, and the info they post are really for their members. As I said, there are plenty more resource websites on the web.

When things got out of hand before, I could see the frustration of all those involved as they were not allowed to vent out in public (in WoW) or post anything about it here in the forum. So things were 'swept under the carpet', but if a dedicated section of the forum was available, all problems could be argued over in there, plus other members can see what has been written and learn from it.

See, to me, this thread and its posts itself represents the need to have a private forum, as HH members are having to discuss the guild matters with others that do not belong to the guild. Does anyone else think this is weird?

There seems to be two threads of suggestion within this one. A private section for guild votes etc and a private section for officers. If it were the former fine, if the latter is intended then as Others have asked before, of what use would this be to the guild? If only current officers could answer this as they are the people who are intending to use a part of this forum to conduct clandestine affairs.

Currently what do officers within the guild actively do with the abilities they have gained that others can not? I am aware they can initiate people and cast them from the guild.

Please dont get offended I'm only inquisitive.

That was exactly my thoughts while reading this, this is a Hexus Horde matter, not a WoW matter, all WoW disscussion will stay in the WoW forum and Hexus Horde discussion in another one.

All of those resouces posted in the stickys will stay where they are, all information regarding new WoW updates etc will be posted in the current WoW forum, there will be no loss of resource to anyone outside of the giuld.

I still can't see any reason for not having one. All that the non-members of the giuld would miss out on are threads like Guild Promotions/Demotions (posted by Pug), all of the giuld leader voting posts, Guild Info Revamp (posted by Scientist). Specific giuld things.

The object of wanting a private forum for officers is to discuss such things as promotions, as well as changes to the guild charter. There have been a number of issues recently which have required actions from the officers. Decisions have had to be made based on chat in the officers channel in game which has been made difficult where one or more officers have been in combat, etc. Having a private forum for officers would allow us to discuss these issues in detail without intrusion by game events.

These have been sensitive issues of how best to solve a problem without offending certain guild members, which really had to be discussed privately.

While I can see that broader issues (such as changes to the guild charter) should be openly viewable (to all guild members), some specific discussions have to remain between the officers only, such as possible candidates for promotion.

Yup we can hire and fire people as such

I also see the role as trying to ensure the smooth running of the guild - sorting out tensions between players impartially so that everyone can get the best possible gaming experience amongst other things (and i promise im not being bribed by Blizzard to say that!)

Also i feel it is my solemn duty to mention cake and chocolate as much as possible

And Rhyth none of are gonna get offended by people asking us questions so ask away

Out of all replies, guild members views are.................

Wants - ERU, Mads, Slayer, Teepee, Velan, FOT, Rafe, Pro-plus, , Redpiggy

Dont want - Pug, Menthol (aint sure who he is )

Come on the rest of you, show ya views...... I'd set a poll, but non hexus could vote - hence private forums

If needed we can have Wow forums, hexus forums, and officer forums...........

Regards to menthols idea about msn etc........ 40 members added to my msn account, nah, this is a message boards... you can post and await responses.... MSN is instant, if ya aint online, you wont get a say.
