Does WoW ever get boring for you?

Im just wondering if WoW is really worth the time and effort in the long term. I've been away from the game for about a month or so and I'm not sure now whether I should come back. When I last left the game I was finding it some what repetative with the endless questing which seemed like a chore rather than fun to me in the end. At first I just thought it was because being on a pve server doesn't have the same kind of excitement or difficulty like a pvp server. I was planning to eventually to hook up with some friends on a pvp server but even they're finding it boring because all they have left is pvp and raid dungeons. I'd like to know is there a lot more to WoW to what I've mentioned above and how does it maintain your interest in the game?

Aren't they running that in the test realms at the moment, any idea when it will be publicly released?

Not for me.. Theres so much vareity in the quests, especially since you can choose to go questing on your own, or grab some guildmates, etc.. As i was leveling I kept progressing to new areas.. My first stroll through blackrock blew me away... get bored with one area, move on o another...

Now I find with my alt I'm not doing the same stuff over again, but finding different quests that I haven't done before.. This game is so big, it's gonna be ages before it becomes boring!

Yeah still loving this game, PVP is really great at the moment and enjoyable. And i think battlegrounds will be even more so.

Deliberately not doing the high lvl instances at the moment to save that for a later time when i get bored of pvp...

Still so much so see and do imo..

Maybe the main reason I found it boring was because it was my last month of game time and I was trying to spend as much time as possible playing to get my money's worth. I guess there's a certain dosage of WoW a human being can take hehe. On average how often do you guys spend playing a day?

Not bored. I think I worked out my average as ~6 hours/day since wow has been released or something like that.

Im not gonna post how much time ive spent on WOW - lets just say i was unemployed and an insomniac at the time!!!

Nope I havent found it boring - Ive found Im grouping a lot more and thats one of the best parts of the game for me

I've also discovered PVP - and while i dont PVP a lot i do love kicking alliance butt

It has to be said there is a degree of repetition. But then that could be levelled at any and all games.

I think the thing that draws you back is the variety, finding new places, questing with friends and the factor of 'just round the corner is something else I need to wear'.

If you go in to the game solo and don't explore much with others I can see that the game could rapidly become monotonous. However, a good few quests with friends etc and the game lives

PVP is a whole new element and I have only 28 kills, so much more to do here, even without Battlegrounds.

Nearly 30 days in game now (over 700 hours, yikes!) and over 16 days in game at level 60. Scary.

I play for a while, then take a break for a few days, or a week, ive not played now since last weekend, to let my double points bar build up. I get my moneys worth though, my daughter plays it a fair bit, so i dont mind paying the sub when im not playing.

Ive spent about 6 days over my 2 characters, at the moment ive been stuck a bit, which is why ive decided to have a break.
