Would agree with most of this but imo i would always take a shammy because of multiple uses.
A hunter is equal in dps to any class but it is flat rate and not bursted.
    Personally mine would be:
    Warrior
    Priest
    Shaman
2 from hunter/rogue/warlock/mage/druid depending on circumstance
and not two of the above the same to get a variety of abilities

As previously mentioned, it depends a lot on the instance...not sure the +60 and +60 nature resists stack mad? Thats the downside with MotW and any other buff, if you get +10 from MotW and +20 resist from somewhere else, it does NOT stack.

So, Strat? Scholo? Priest for undead CC as well as the healing. Druids do beast CC, mages human, warlocks elementals, so if the type of instance has many of one "crowd type" you're gonna want to control them!

Same goes with debuffs...I can't take off a disease, but I can take off a curse. I'm a crap resser, but the res I DO have can save a wipe at the start...its a shame, because it means I can't be the sole healer, but its a nice tool to have.

Our base tools are obvious (warrior=tank, mage=aoe/dps, etc), its the other tools that are more interesting and help define you in an instance..I'd much rather use my beast crowd control, use my aoe heal, than not...like GP with his flare, hunters can detect stealth...which is rather cool...and hunters mark just for lack-of-confusion bonus!

Obviously there are some combinations that just don't work (almost got into BRS with I think 2 druids, 2 shamen and..I forget but not a dps class...could have been there the rest of the year!).

I guess at the end of the day there is the essential (healer, resser, tank...obviously the first two are combined in the priest), and a shaman makes an excellent backup for any party...which is a little unfortunate in my opinion, you SHOULD be able to do an instance with 5 rogues...if you really want to...I'd love to try one day with 2 or 3 druids and 3 or 2 rogues, stealthing to the bosses You'd have DPS, healing, enough tanking...love to try it.

So while tank, offtank/healer, man healer, dps, dps is probably the safest way...I'd like to try some oddball combinations. Healer and 4 hunters, surely that would work with 4 mini tanks! But then I guess its about having a broad range of skills...
    Well Hello!

People underestimate the uses a rogue has to offer, and shy away from being one cos there are a hard class to get to grips with, but if you have a rogue in the group that knows what he's/she's doin the damage thats delt and the crowd control can be awesome ........not bein in any way or form biased .......lev 60 rogue here talkin

Resist buffs don't stack - you get whatever the best one is. The only exception is mage and warlock self buffs which stack with whatever the highest other buff is.
